Hamirpur (UP), June 28 (ANI): Five members of a family were found bludgeoned to death in Uttar Pradesh's Hamirpur. Prima facie the incident seemed to be the falls out of an enmity, as all persons were killed using a stone, police said. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem. Police have registered a case in this regard and further investigation is underway.
New Delhi, June 28 (ANI): While addressing the mediapersons in Delhi, Union Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said the Indian public is enthusiastic over the implementation of National Education Policy and invited the public to send more suggestions for the draft stage of the same. Nishank said, "There's enthusiasm among public over implementation of new education policy. The Draft National Education Policy submitted by Dr K. Kasturirangan Committee was put it in public domain and we got over 50,000 suggestions. Ministry invites more suggestions from public."
Hyderabad, June 28 (ANI): Traffic police booked around 3873 cases in a special drive carried out against vehicles carrying school children for violating norms. At least 14 drivers found carrying school children in a drunken state, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Anil Kumar said. While speaking to ANI, Kumar said, "After summer vacation, schools have re-opened and to ensure safety of school children we started a special drive. In this drive, we've taken the help of the Transport department. This special drive is being run in the city during the morning and afternoon since June 12."
Jharsuguda (Odisha), June 28 (ANI): State police arrested 4 people in connection with the murder of Amit Dal in Odisha's Jharsuguda on Thursday. Amit was shot dead by 2 bike-borne miscreants in Brajrajnagar in front of his office on June 24. The police recovered 2 Mouzer, 2 country-made pistols and 20 round bullets along with other evidence during the arrest.

New Delhi, June 27 (ANI): Delhi Waqf Board announced compensation of 5 lakh rupees and job to the wife of deceased Tabrez Ansari in Jharkhand lynching case. Delhi Waqf Board chairman and Aam Aadmi Party MLA Amanatullah Khan said, "Delhi Waqf Board will give Rs 5 lakh to wife of Tabrez Ansari (who was lynched in Jharkhand). Waqf Board will also give her a job and provide her legal assistance." Tabrez Ansari was attacked and killed by a mob, accusing him of theft and he was also allegedly forced him to chant "Jai Shri Ram" in Jharkhand's Saraikela Kharsawan district.
Ludhiana (Punjab), Jun 27 (ANI): A clash broke out in the central jail of Punjab's Ludhiana on Thursday. Four prisoners who tried to escape during the clash were apprehended and brought back by the police. A blast took place inside a shop of a scrap dealer in Chidder area of J- K's Kulgam. Workers were dismantling a newly arrived scrap at the time of incident. 1 person succumbed to injuries while 2 others persons have sustained critical injuries. A case has been registered in the matter and cause of blast is being investigated
Amritsar (Punjab), June 27 (ANI): To commemorate the 180th death anniversary of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, a batch of 224 Sikh devotees from the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) left for Pakistan in a special train from Attari Railway Station on Thursday morning. Amidst chants of 'Jo Bole So Nihal', the batch left for 'darshan' of Gurdwara Shri Panja Sahib, Shri Nankana Sahib, and Gurdwara Sri Kartarpur Sahib among other Gurdwaras in Lahore. They will return to India on July 6. SGPC had sent 282 applications for visas this year of which only 224 visas were granted, while 58 were denied on Wednesday. Within the framework of the Pakistan-India protocol on visits to religious shrines of 1974, thousands of pilgrims from India visit Pakistan to observe various religious festivals and occasions every year.

Jamshedpur (Jharkhand), June 27 (ANI): The family members of Tabrez Ansari who was allegedly lynched by a mob earlier this month, claimed on Thursday that the reports of his father Maskoor Alam's death fifteen-years-ago due to mob lynching are false. They said that Tabrez's father was murdered over a dispute with friends. Speaking to ANI, Tabrez's uncle Maqsood Alam said, "15 years ago there was nothing called mob lynching. The reports stating that Tabrez's father killed in mob lynching is wrong. His father was killed due to enmity with friends". Tabrez Ansari was attacked by a mob in Kharsawan district of Jharkhand on the suspicion of theft on June 18. He was beaten up mercilessly for hours before being handed over to the police. He succumbed to his injuries at a local hospital on June 22. Tabrez's family has alleged that the attack was communal and that he was made to chant 'Jai Shri Ram' and 'Jai Hanuman'.
Ambala (Haryana), June 27 (ANI): Prompt action by an Indian Air Force (IAF) pilot saved his Jaguar fighter aircraft after it suffered a bird hit soon after taking off from the Ambala air base and landed back safely on Thursday morning.According to the officials, Jaguar deep penetration strike aircraft was on its way to take part in a training sortie when one of the two engines of the aircraft was knocked down due to bird hit. Ambala DSP Rajnish Kumar also said that payload of an aircraft had fallen in the city.
Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh), June 27 (ANI): Gyuto Tantric celebrated 34th birthday of the Tibetan spiritual leader, the 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorje in Sidhbari near north Indian hill town Dharamshala. Hundreds of monks including few foreigner followers have gathered to celebrate his birthday and offered long life prayers for their spiritual leader. Karmapa has obtained passport of Commonwealth of Dominica, went to Unites States last year and has not returned yet. Buddhist followers in Dharamshala also pray for his return to India. The 17th Karmapa of Tibetan Buddhism, Ogyen Trinley Dorjee was born on June 26, 1985 in Kham region of eastern Tibet. He was recognized as 17th Karmapa of Tibetan Buddhism on June 30, 1992. After escaping from Tibet at the age of 15, he arrived in Dharamshala on Jan 05, 2000. Since then, Ogyen Trinley Dorjee was living in Gyuto monastery in Sidhbari near Dharamshala.
