Mumbai, Jun 29 (ANI): Bollywood actor Jimmy Sheirgill shared his experience of working in his upcoming flick 'Family of Thakurganj'. While speaking to ANI, Sheirgill said, "Experience was really good. We shot the movie thoroughly in and around Lucknow. It has flavours, dialogues, actions, and even I played a different kind of character in it. It's been a long time since I played something like this. So, it was fun." 'Family of Thakurganj' also stars Mahie Gill in lead roles. The story of movie revolves around values of family, culture and influence of new thinking on them. Helmed by Manoj K Jha, 'Family of Thakurganj' is set to release on July 19.

Haridwar (Uttarakhand)/ New Delhi, June 29 (ANI): Since the launch of Namami Gange programme in mid 2015, several initiatives have been taken for effective abatement of pollution, conservation and rejuvenation of Ganga. It includes building new ghats, setting up of sewerage treatment infrastructure, river surface cleaning, afforestation and much more. The government has sanctioned sufficient budget for implementation of these projects, but to facilitate wider public participation, Clean Ganga Fund was established for Public Sector Undertakings, NRIs and other individuals to make their contribution. The Clean Ganga Fund, administered by a Trust chaired by the Finance Minister and the Director General of NMCG as its CEO, has accumulated a total wealth of over 360 crore rupees in donations over the course of four years. Raipur (Chhattisgarh), June 29 (ANI): The wreath laying ceremony of three Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel was performed in Chhattisgarh's Raipur today. They lost their lives in an encounter with Naxals in Bijapur on Friday. Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel also paid tribute to the slain soldiers. An encounter broke out between the security forces and naxals in Keshkutul area of Bijapur on Friday. Several arms and ammunition were also recovered from the encounter site.
New Delhi, June 29 (ANI): At least three people have died in a collision between a speeding tempo carrying 13 people and a water tanker on National Highway-24 near Kalyanpuri area of the national capital. The occupants of the tempo were going to Nainital. The driver of tempo also died in the incident. The 10 injured people are undergoing medical treatment in a hospital.

Mumbai, June 29 (ANI): A wall collapsed in Chembur area of Mumbai today. The wall was collapsed on an auto-rickshaw at around 2 am in the midnight. Fire brigade personnel are removing the debris from the spot. No casualties have been reported in this incident.
Pune (Maharashtra), Jun 29 (ANI): Around 15 people lost their lives after a wall collapsed in Kondhwa area of Maharashtra's Pune. Several other people got injured in the incident. NDRF team reached the spot. Rescue operations are underway. While speaking to ANI on this matter, District Collector (DC) of Pune Naval Kishore Ram said, "The wall collapsed due to heavy rainfall. Negligence of the construction company is coming to light with this incident. Death of 15 people is not a small matter. Mostly were labourers from Bihar and Bengal. Government will provide help to the affected.
Raigad (Maharashtra), June 29 (ANI): A prostitution racket was busted and nine accused including five females were arrested by police in Maharashtra's Raigad on Friday. Cocaine was also recovered from the accused. The police also rescued seven victims in the bust and sent them to a correction home. A case has been filed under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) and PITA Acts. Further details are awaited.
Puri (Odisha), June 29 (ANI): Few days left for the famous Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, final touches are being given to the preparations for the grand event in Odisha's Puri. Every year, the Jagannath Rath Yatra is witnessed by lakhs of devotees from all corners of the world. Three chariots have already been constructed for the deities- Lord Balabhadra, Lord Jagannath and Devi Subhadra. Traditional artists are painting fresh and glowing colours on different idols. While speaking to ANI, a Painter said, "We start the works 15 to 20 days before and gives the final touch to Rath Yatra before 1 to 2 days. Around 40 to 50 artists work for this Yatra." This year, the annual Rath Yatra of Lord Jagannath, Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra will be celebrated on July 4.
Anantapuram (AP), June 29 (ANI): In a surprising incident, over Rs 3 lakh were found in the bag of a beggar who died on the night of June 25 in Andhra Pradesh's Guntakal. The beggar as identified as Basheer Saheb breathed his last at the age of 70. The amount was recovered when police went to the spot to shift his body. While inspecting his bag for an identity card, police officials could not believe their eyes as they found a huge amount of currency notes and coins. Total cash found in his bag estimated around Rs 3,22,670 lakh. A few days ago, he fell sick and died on Tuesday night.
Chittoor (AP), June 29 (ANI): A father killed his own daughter for marrying a man from another caste in Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor on Friday. The couple was married two and a half years ago, without her parents' consent. The woman had delivered a boy one week ago. On Friday morning, the couple took the baby to the hospital and was attacked on their way back. Police have filed a case based on the complaint of deceased's husband. Further investigation is on.
New Delhi, June 29 (ANI): If you are trying to lose weight then watch your sleep pattern. Short sleep duration and a high sleep variability blunt weight loss, finds a study. The study was published in the 'International Journal of Obesity'. The researchers from the Human Nutrition Unit of the Rovira i Virgili University, in conjunction with other research groups involved in the Predimed-Plus study, assessed the changes in weight and adiposity, body fat, of the 1,986 individuals who took part in the study for a whole year, all of whom presented overweight, obesity and the metabolic syndrome. The patients followed an intensive intervention programme in terms of a lifestyle designed for weight loss. It was based on a low-calorie Mediterranean diet, physical activity, and behaviour therapy. The researchers observed that the individuals with highly variable sleep patterns, who did not sleep the same number of hours every night at the beginning of the study lost less weight after a follow-up

New Delhi, June 29 (ANI): Sir Jony Ive, the design guru behind Apple's popular products is leaving the company after nearly 30 years. In an official press release, Apple announced that Sir Jony Ive will resign as Apple's chief design officer later this year to form an independent design company, which will sign Apple among its primary clients. Apple CEO Tim Cook said that Apple will continue to directly work with Jony on exclusive projects. Some of Ive's noteworthy work includes the 1998 iMac, the iPhone, and the Apple Park that is in itself a design marvel shaped like a spaceship.

Faridabad (Haryana), Jun 28 (ANI): Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday said Congress spokesperson Vikas Chaudhary, who was shot dead by two unidentified men in Faridabad on Thursday, had "13 FIRs" registered against him, and has been described a 'bad character' by police. "He had 13 FIRs against him, and he had been declared a bad character, anything could be possible with such a person, it could be personal enmity. Police teams have been formed, culprits won't be spared," said Haryana CM.
Latehar (Jharkhand), Jun 28 (ANI): An unconscious 4-month pregnant woman was taken to hospital on bike after her family failed to find an ambulance. She was allegedly denied an ambulance. The incident took place in Jharkhand's Latehar. While speaking to ANI, Civil Surgeon of Latehar District, Dr S. Sharma said that the victim asked for an ambulance but didn't wait for it to arrive. "They had asked for an ambulance but didn't wait for it to reach them,brought the woman to the hospital on a motorbike. If you've called for an ambulance then you should wait for it. The woman has been referred to RIMS Ranchi."
