CM Khattar's visit not linked with delay in handing over Vikas Chaudhary's body: Faridabad DCP

Faridabad (Haryana), Jun 28 (ANI): After Congress protested outside BK Hospital in Haryana's Faridabad alleging Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar's visit for the delay in handing over the body of party spokesperson Vikas Chaudhary, who was shot dead by two unidentified men on Thursday, police denied the allegation, and cited unfinished formalities for the delay in handing over the body to the deceased's family. 'There are certain formalities that are yet to be completed. Once CMO completes the formalities Vikas Choudhary's body will be handed over. The delay in releasing the body has no relation with CM's visit to the area,' said Vikram Kapoor, DCP, Faridabad.

"Salute Akash ji" posters put up in MP's Indore, later removed by Municipal Corporation

Indore (Madhya Pradesh), June 28 (ANI): "Salute Akash ji" posters had been put up in parts of Indore on Friday. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Akash Vijayvargiya had attacked a Municipal Corporation officer in Indore on June 26. He was arrested in connection with the incident and sent to judicial custody till July 07. Later, Indore Municipal Corporation removed the posters.

Both countries should talk to resolve trade issues: Farooq Abdullah after Trump urges India to cut tariffs

Later, he added that the President of USA Donald Trump urged India to lower the tariffs. Both the countries should talk further to resolve the issue. "He (PM Modi) talks about terrorism everywhere, there is nothing new in it but Trump has also taught us a good lesson, he told us to lower tariffs. WhatsApp Status may soon be shareable to Facebook, other apps: Report

New Delhi, June 28 (ANI): WhatsApp is reportedly testing a new feature that would allow its users to share their WhatsApp status with other apps such as Facebook, Instagram, Gmail or Google Photos. According to The Verge, WhatsApp is not linking your accounts on two services, but making use of the existing data-sharing APIs to simply transfer the posts between apps on-device. Meanwhile, WhatsApp won't allow automatic sharing of the status to another service. The feature is being rolled out to beta users starting today. The move appears to be part of Facebook's larger effort at integrating all its messaging services including WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger.

Climate warming may increase malaria risk in colder areas

New Delhi, June 28 (ANI): Even a slight increase in temperature may shoot up the risk of malaria to hundreds of thousands, if not millions, including travellers, in areas that are currently too cold for the completion of malaria parasites development, claims a recent study. "Our work shows that even small increases in temperature could dramatically increase malaria infections in humans because the parasites develop much faster at these lower temperatures than has been previously estimated. Parasite development rate further increases when temperatures fluctuate naturally, from cooler at night to warmer in the day," said Jessica Waite, senior scientist, Penn State. The researchers used two of the most important malaria-hosting mosquito species in the world -- Anopheles stephensi and Anopheles gambiae -- to conduct their experiments. Five family members bludgeoned to death in UP's Hamirpur

3873 school vans, other vehicles violated traffic rules in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, June 28 (ANI): Traffic police booked around 3873 cases in a special drive carried out against vehicles carrying school children for violating norms. At least 14 drivers found carrying school children in a drunken state, Additional Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Anil Kumar said. While speaking to ANI, Kumar said, "After summer vacation, schools have re-opened and to ensure safety of school children we started a special drive.
