New Delhi, Jun 16 (ANI): Just a day after releasing a kid-appropriate Echo Dot, Amazon has been reportedly slapped with a pair of class-action lawsuits for Alexa, its voice-enabled assistant, which is accused of recording and storing the voices of children. According to the New York Post, the lawsuits, filed on behalf of an 8-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl, allege that Alexa's voice recording and transcription technology makes kids vulnerable as it allows Amazon to access a large amount of data about the child's life, all without any consent. Meanwhile, Amazon stressed that it has strict guidelines in place to protect family security and privacy. One of the lawsuits seeks damages up to USD 100 a day while the other wants damages of USD 5,000 per violation.

He said, "A proposal of providing head and foot massage services on 29 trains, had been put forward by Ratlam Division. Railway administration has rejected the proposal respecting the views of the people's representatives who had criticised it. He further added, "They had criticised this proposal that it would create inconvenience for people, especially women. Berths have limited space so how would the services be even provided on a moving train? So Railway administration has rejected proposal.
New Delhi, Jun 15 (ANI): Doctors of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Delhi on Saturday took out a candle light march to support the doctors of West Bengal. Doctors at AIIMS Delhi, who went on a strike in solidarity with the protesting doctors of West Bengal, said on Saturday that self-defence as a subject should be added to the MBBS course across the country if the government cannot protect the doctors. Earlier in the day, AIIMS Delhi called off their protest and gave a 48-hour ultimatum to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to meet the demands of the protesting doctors in Kolkata. Junior doctors in Kolkata have been on strike after two of their colleagues were attacked and seriously injured over an issue of alleged negligence at the NRS Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata on Tuesday. Rajgarh (Madhya Pradesh), Jun 15 (ANI): Father of a 17-year-old rape survivor alleged that village Panchayat in Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh District declared them an outcast after he failed to follow its diktat to organise a community feast that would 'purify' her. While speaking to ANI, he said, "Until feast is organised we won't be included in the cast and village." The girl was raped while on her way back to home in January. The accused was arrested and sent to judicial custody. Police confirmed that the incident occurred in January. The police official said, "The father of the girl complained that the Panchayat had declared them outcast until they organise a feast with non-veg food. Police has questioned the villagers, probe is underway."
Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Jun 15 (ANI): Amid the Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) outbreak in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district where more than 70 children have died from the deadly disease, Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai, denied any "government laxity" for the deaths after he visited Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital, one of the two facilities where high number of AES cases are being reported. Rai said the mysterious disease, which is also known by the name of Japanese fever, had negligible impact in the last two years in Muzaffarpur but this year, the disease unfortunately killed several children. Rai, however, ruled out any possibility by saying the central and state government along with district administration are doing whatever they can which include Anganwadi facilities and a Norway medical team visiting the area in recent years, and asked the reporters how can the administration be complacent on such a serious issue.

The International Solar Alliance is an alliance of more than 122 countries initiated by India. Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Jun 15 (ANI): June 15 marks the World Elder Abuse Awareness day that aims to raise awareness about adults failing prey to abuse, neglect and financial exploitation. Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Jun 15 (ANI): As many as 69 people have died due to Acute Encephalitis Syndrome in Muzaffarpur district. Encephalitis is a viral disease, which causes mild flu like symptoms such as high fever and headache. The deadly disease has been claiming lives in the district for the past few weeks. While speaking to ANI, Dr. Shailesh Prasad Singh, Civil Surgeon from Muzaffarpur, Bihar said, "Death toll rose to 69 due Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES). 58 died at Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital and 11 at Kejriwal Hospital."
Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Jun 15 (ANI): At least 26 children were rescued from a biscuit factory in Chhattisgarh's Raipur. The children were rescued as a part of the drive carried out by the authorities. While speaking to ANI, N Swarnkar, District Child Protection Officer, Raipur said, "We've been running a drive against child labour from 10-15 June and rescued 24 children across Raipur. Today our team went to a biscuit factory from where rescued we found 26 children. They have been sent to children's home". As per Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986 which was amended in 2016, a 'Child' is defined as a person below the age of 15. Employment of a child is prohibited in any field and it is a cognizable criminal offence to employ a child for any work.
New Delhi, Jun 15 (ANI): While speaking to ANI, Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, Manish Sisodia on Saturday said, "I have written to Sreedharan sahib and told him that Delhi Metro is running in losses. Its carrying capacity is 40 lakh passengers everyday but presently its carrying only 25 lakh passengers. Our proposal of 'free travel for women on Metro' will be beneficial for Delhi Metro, its ridership will increase and fares will come down. If Delhi government pays fare of women commuters, Delhi Metro should be happy with it." It comes after the former chief of DMRC, E Sreedharan has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to agree to the proposal.
