Bangladesh PM sends 300 kgs of Haribhanga mangoes to Tripura CM

Agartala (Tripura), July 06 (ANI): In a goodwill gesture, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has sent 300 kgs of Haribhanga mangoes to Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb as a gift on July 05. PM Hasina has also sent mangoes to PM Modi and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Speaking on this goodwill gesture, Bangladesh Assistant High Commissioner in Agartala Mohammad Jobayed Hosen said that Bangladesh has strong ties with Tripura since the days of Mukti Yudh. "Bangladesh PM Sheikh Hasina has sent 300 kgs of Haribhanga mangoes to Tripura CM as a gift. Yesterday, we sent mangoes to PM of India and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Bangladesh has strong ties with Tripura since the days of Mukti Yudh," said Mohammad Jobayed Hosen.

People throng vaccination centre in Noida, Social distancing norms flouted

Noida (UP), July 06 (ANI): Even as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to be a massive concern for the government, people still seem to have carefree attitude towards the virus. Chaos unfolded at vaccination centres in Noida on July 5 as people queued up to take their vaccine jab. People thronged at District Government Hospital in Sector-30, defying social distancing norms. Chief Medical Superintendent Dr Renu Aggarwal said, "For last 2 days, we were getting fewer dosses. Today, we got 3000 vaccines. Our staff is there to aware people to follow COVID norms. We also made a new centre."

One dead, two rescued in trucks collision in Gujarat

Valsad (Gujarat), July 06 (ANI): A horrific accident on the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway in Valsad was reported on July 6. Three trucks collided and later two trucks caught fire. One dead on the spot. Two were rescued by the locals. Fire tenders reached the spot. The fire has been doused. More details are awaited.

Sivaganga (TN), July 05(ANI): The famous, centuries-old fishing festival celebrated at Sivaganga in Tamil Nadu on July 04. An entrepreneur transforms barren land into green forest in Shivamogga

Shivamogga (Karnataka), July 05 (ANI): An entrepreneur Suresh Kumar from Bengaluru has converted 21 acres of barren land into a thick forest over the last 10 years with the help of renowned environmentalist Akhilesh Chipli. Hundreds of birds, reptiles, and wild animals roam in the forest created on the private land which is now covered by innumerable varieties of plants. Speaking to ANI, Akhilesh Chipli said, "This forest is named as Usha Kirana (Morning sun rays) a green initiative model. Ten years ago it was like a desert. Now it is covered in green. An entrepreneur from Bengaluru Suresh Kumar purchased the land after the earlier owner harvested the eucalyptus and Acacia trees."

UP govt allows opening of cinema halls and gyms at 50% capacity
