Bihar's 'Mango Man' names new variety 'Lockdown'

Bhagalpur (Bihar), May 13 (ANI): Ashok Kumar Choudhary, a horticulturist also known as Bihar's Mango Man, has developed a new hybrid variety of Jardalu mango. With the prevailing situation Ashok Choudhary named the new variety 'Lockdown'. He has developed new variety with cross grafting method at his farm in Bhagalpur.

Lockdown 3.0: Train passengers coming from Patna screened at NDLS

New Delhi, May 13 (ANI): A passenger train from Rajendra Nagar Terminal railway station, Patna (Bihar) reached New Delhi Railway Station (NDLS), a day after services resumed. "Was stuck there for two months, I am happy to be back now," said a passenger. Thorough health screening was also conducted by authorities at the station. Services of 15 pairs of special air-conditioned trains have been restarted by Indian Railways amid lockdown.

Lockdown 3.0: Train from Ahmedabad arrives in Delhi, passengers thank Indian Railways

New Delhi, May 13 (ANI): A day after Indian Railways resumed its services for selected routes, train carrying passengers from Sabarmati railway station reached New Delhi on May 13. "I really wanted to come back; I was stuck for 2 months. It was a great journey," a passenger told ANI. Another passenger from Ahmedabad also thanked Indian Railways and Modi government for resuming services. Indian Railways started services of limited passenger trains with guidelines amid COVID-19 lockdown.

Vande Bharat Mission: Flight carrying over 170 Indians from Dubai arrives in Mangaluru

Mangaluru (Karnataka), May 13 (ANI): Special Air India flight carrying over 170 Indians from Dubai arrived in Mangaluru in the early hours of May 13 under Vande Bharat Mission. Keeping in mind the coronavirus spread, thorough screening of each passenger was done at airport. Government of India started operation Vande Bharat Mission to bring back over 14,000 stranded Indians via 64 relief flights.

Vande Bharat Mission: 2nd flight from Bangladesh arrives in Srinagar with medical students

Srinagar (JandK), May 13 (ANI): A second flight landed in Srinagar with around 169 medical students from Bangladesh. The students were stranded in Bangladesh after the lockdown was imposed in wake of coronavirus outbreak. All students expressed their gratitude towards the Government of India for evacuating them. The stranded Indian nationals across the globe are being brought back to their home country under Centre's Vande Bharat Mission. While speaking to ANI, the DC of Srinagar, Dr Shahid Choudhary said, "Around 700 students were in Bangladesh and today second flight came with 169 students. Tomorrow, another flight is scheduled and 169 more students will come in that. We had already requested for fourth flight and have made good facilities for students in the quarantine centers inside hotels. Their test and sampling will also be conducted here and 14 days quarantine is mandatory as it was an international travel. Once their test results will come then we will send them to their homes

Watch: INS Magar with 202 Indian nationals enters Kochi harbor
