New Delhi, May 07 (ANI): A fire broke out in a garment godown in Delhi on May 07. The incident took place near Daryaganj at around 03:00 am. It was brought under control by fire tenders within 1.5 hours. No injury has been reported so far. While speaking to ANI, the fire officer Satyendra Pal said, "Seven fire tenders reached here. No casualties have been reported."
Muzaffarpur (Bihar), May 06(ANI): Crowd swelled at Muzaffarpur railway station on May 07 after a special train carrying around 1318 students from Rajasthan's Kota reached the station amid corona lockdown. Indore (Madhya Pradesh), May 07 (ANI): Around 31 police personnel in Madhya Pradesh's Indore are affected with COVID-19 pandemic. While speaking to ANI, the SP (East) of Indore, Mohammad Yusuf Qureshi said, "31 police personnel have been tested positive for COVID-19 so far, 22 of them are admitted at hospitals, 8 were discharged after making full recovery, 1 of them lost his life." Visakhapatnam (Andhra Pradesh), May 07 (ANI): A chemical gas leakage has been reported in Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam on May 07. The incident took place at LG Polymers industry in RR Venkatapuram village of Visakhapatnam. According to the District Medical and Health Officer (DMHO), 3 persons, including one child were declared dead due to the chemical gas leakage. People were being taken to hospital after they complained of burning sensation in eyes and breathing difficulties. Police, fire tenders and ambulances reached the spot. Dharamshala (Himachal Pradesh), May 07 (ANI): Tourism industry in Himachal Pradesh has been hit badly by the coronavirus-induced lockdown, as travelling has been completely shut due to the COVID-19 pandemic. "50-60% of the total revenue in a year used to be earned in April, May and June. We won't earn this now due to COVID. We are concerned that how will we bear our expenses," Vijay Inder, an hotelier in Dharamshala, told ANI about the tremendous hit the tourism industry has taken since the coronavirus outbreak. "Government has allowed movement of taxi but if tourists don't come, we'll only be sitting in office. Locals aren't stepping out of homes due to COVID. Government should provide us some relaxation in taxes, interest on EMI and payment of insurance premiums," said Varun Thakur of Dharamshala Taxi Union.
Jodhpur (Rajasthan), May 07 (ANI): In fight against COVID-19, sampling of people in Jodhpur city is being done by teams of 1,300 health care workers. The sampling is being done under the supervision of district collector. So far, sampling of over 25,000 people in Jodhpur has been done. "People are becoming aware and coming to us on their own," said Prakash Rajpurohit, District Collector.
Panipat (Haryana), May 07 (ANI): 3,926 cartons of liquor have been stolen from a sealed godown in Haryana's Panipat in the span of four years from 2016 to 2020, Excise official Rajesh Rohilla said. The licensed godown was sealed in 2016 after some liquor cartons went missing, and an FIR was also filed in 2018 when there was theft reported in the godown, Rohilla added. Police has registered an FIR after Excise Department lodged a complaint of liquor cartons being stolen again.
Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), May 07 (ANI): An NGO called "Serving Nations" in Srinagar is providing ration to the needy people amid coronavirus lockdown. The NGO provides its services in Anantnag, Pulwama, Srinagar, Budgam and Bandipora. Till now, they helped over 1700 families. "We have helped over 1700 families. We also conduct door to door awareness campaigns and sanitisation drives," an NGO member said.

The incident happened in Indore's Narsingh Temple. Later, police detained the people who gathered at temple. "They had given me letter that 15 people will perform 'aarti' here. We had told them we can't allow it due to lockdown. Still they gathered here. We have detained them. We will take action against them for violating the lockdown norms," a police official said.
New Delhi, May 07 (ANI): A recent study shows that people are more likely to opt for non-alcoholic drinks if more of them are available than alcoholic drinks. A team of researchers at the NIHR Bristol Biomedical Research Centre and the Universities of Bristol and Cambridge, UK found that when presented with eight drink options, participants were 48 per cent more likely to choose a non-alcoholic drink when the proportion of non-alcoholic drink options increased from four (50 per cent) to six (75 per cent). Participants in the study completed an online task in which they were presented with a selection of alcoholic beer, non-alcoholic beer and soft drinks. The drink selections included four alcoholic and four non-alcoholic drinks, six alcoholic and two non-alcoholic drinks or two alcoholic and six non-alcoholic drinks. Mumbai, May 6 (ANI): Heavy buying in financial counters led equity indices to close in the positive terrain on Wednesday after a highly volatile session which saw stocks of FMCG and oil marketing companies taking a beating. The BSE SandP Sensex closed 232 points or 0.74 per cent higher at 31,686 while the Nifty 50 ticked up by 65 points or 0.71 per cent at 9,271.
