Some clapped while others did 'shankhnad' from their balconies and gates to show gratefulness. One of the residents said, "We have been doing this every day at 5 pm since the day of Janata Curfew'. We are praying for all the doctors, labourers and police." The nation-wide lockdown is extended till May 3 in wake of coronavirus.
Rajgarh (MP), Apr 20 (ANI): Police personnel were allegedly thrashed after they asked people who gathered at a liquor shop in Rampuria village of Madhya Pradesh's Rajgarh to maintain social distance. The incident took place when the policemen went to the village as they got information about a liquor shop opening despite the lockdown. Upon reaching there they urged the people standing in groups to follow social distancing guidelines, following which people got enraged and roughed up the policemen. They also attacked the cops with rods.
New Delhi, Apr 20 (ANI): A new study has found that young people are leaving it 'too late' to seek help for eating disorders, citing fear of losing control over their eating or weight, denial, and failure to perceive the severity of the illness as reasons not to get professional advice. The recent online survey of almost 300 Australian young adults aged 18-25 years found a majority had eating, weight or body shape concerns, and even those with anorexia or bulimia reportedly found reasons to delay getting treatment or expert interventions. "Not wanting others to worry about their problems was the highest endorsed barrier - it reflects the wish for autonomy and also the fear of being a burden to others in this group of young adults," said Kathina Ali, Research Associate in Psychology at Flinders University. Mumbai, Apr 20 (ANI): Equity benchmark indices moved in a narrow range on Monday to end flat as traders chose to stay on sidelines in the absence of any clear signs on COVID-19. Falling crude oil prices and weak global markets also dented investor sentiment. At the closing bell, the BSE SandP Sensex was up by 59 points or 0.19 per cent at 31,648 while the Nifty 50 inched up by 0.2 points or 0.04 per cent at 9,267. Sectoral indices at the National Stock Exchange were mixed with Nifty metal down by 3.2 per cent and auto by 1.7 per cent. But Nifty PSU Bank moved up by 4.2 per cent and IT by 1.4 per cent. Among stocks, Tata Motors was the top gainer by moving up 4.2 per cent at Rs 80.10 per share despite reporting 35 per cent falls in global wholesales during Q4 FY20 at 2.31 lakh units.

He said, "India's doubling rate before the lockdown was 3.4 days, it has now improved to 7.5 days. As per data on April 19, in 18 states, the rate is better than the national average."

Azadpur Mandi will remain open for 24 hours from tomorrow. From 6 am till 10 pm, vegetables and fruits will be sold, while from 10 pm till 6 am, truck movement will be allowed in and out of the market. Every 4 hours, entry of 1000 people will be allowed," said Rai on COVID-19 outbreak.

Adding in it, he further said that the Goa is now COVID-19 free."Mahe in Puducherry, Kodagu in Karnataka and Pruri Garhwal in Uttarakhand have not reported any COVID19 case in last 28 days," he added.
Dehradun (Uttarakhand), Apr 20 (ANI): Speaking on the current situation of COVID-19 in Uttarakhand, Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Monday informed that the situation in the state is completely under control. "The role of our health-workers, policemen and all frontline workers is commendable. I appeal to all citizens to continue to cooperate with lockdown rules," he added.The number of confirmed cases in Uttarakhand stands at 44, which includes 11 cured or discharged.

AIIMS Blood Bank made the request to Parliament Duty Group to donate blood as the blood centers have crisis due to coronavirus lockdown. Second-In-Command of Parliament Duty Group CRPF, Deepak Bhati said, "We organised this blood donation drive in our campus. Our jawans and officers volunteered themselves for donating blood. According to the police, he didn't want to stay at the shelter home as he was not getting liquor, tobacco and cigarettes there. Speaking on the incident Police Official Prathibha Joshi said, "The man, Amit Kumar Verma, had fled a shelter home. When police caught him, he abused and spitted on them yesterday. The man said he didn't want to stay at the shelter home as he was not getting liquor, tobacco and cigarettes there. There were complaints that he was urinating here and there at the shelter home. He was punished as police didn't want to book him."

"Some people are instigating these things, maybe some political leaders or some other leaders are involved in it. These full body kits will be donated to those who are in direct contact with the COVID-19 patients. In a video, Vadra said, "I will do whatever comes in my hand. I am sending different types of masks to them. I am giving 60-80 PPE kits to a few hospitals and I am trying to get my hands of few more so that I can send it to other places as well." He also extended more help in providing masks and suits which are needed to curb coronavirus. The PPEs kits are playing crucial role in protecting the health workers from dreadful COVID-19 virus. Earlier, Vadra also donated 60 PPE kits to GB Pant Hospital. 14175 active cases of coronavirus have been reported in India so far.
