Virat Kohli's fan gets 16 tattoos inked on his body

Cuttack (Odisha), Dec 22 (ANI): Love of a fan has no limits. Pintu Behera, an ardent fan of Virat Kohli from Berhampur, has inked 16 permanent tattoos of the Indian cricket team skipper, including his Jersey No. 18, on his body. Behera said that he has spent over Rs one lakh over these tattoos. The 31-year-old said, "I am a cricket lover from my childhood and became a big fan of Virat Kohli because of his style of playing. So, I have decided to show my respect to him in this way. When I decided to make tattoos in 2016, I didn't have money. So I started saving money and got tattoos inked". He said that in October, he got the chance to meet the Indian captain during a Test match between India and South Africa at Visakhapatnam. "I didn't imagine that he would meet and hug me. It was a special moment for me. I had been waiting to meet him since 2016. Finally, I got the opportunity to meet him during Test Match between India and South Africa at Vishakhapattanam in October," he said.

Fly tricolour outside homes to send message to BJP that they made 'black' law: Owaisi

Hyderabad, Dec 22 (ANI): AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi held a rally at Darussalam in Hyderabad on December 21. While addressing the rally, Owaisi requested people who are against National Register of Citizens (NRC) and Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) to put up national flag outside their homes. He said, "Whoever is against the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) should fly tricolour outside their homes. This will send a message to BJP that they have made a wrong and 'black' law".

Santa procession organised in Thiruvananthapuram

Thiruvananthapuram (Kerala), Dec 22 (ANI): Ahead of the festival of Christmas, a Santa procession 2019 was organised in Thiruvananthapuram. People of all age participated in the parade and played various instruments. The parade was organised by St. Joseph's Cathedral. More than 3,000 santas participated in the festivities. Children dressed up as Santa to celebrate the festival. Kids played the tunes of 'Jingle Bells'. Christmas is celebrated in December 25, to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ. The festival is a major cultural and religious event for people around the world.

BJP to connect with 3 crore families for its CAA campaign: Bhupender Yadav

CAA protests: 15 deaths, over 700 arrested in UP: Police

Lucknow (UP), Dec 21 (ANI): While addressing a press conference in Lucknow, Praveen Kumar, Inspector General (Law and Order) for Lucknow, informed that 15 people have died while 705 are in custody since the protests against the Citizenship Amendment Act spread across the state. He said. "In protest against Citizenship Amendment Act since Dec 10 in state, 705 people arrested and around 4500 people released after preventive arrest.15 casualties have happened, and 263 police personnel were injured of which 57 personnel received fire arm injuries."

Anti-CAA protest: Nine people died in UP, says DGP

Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), Dec 21 (ANI): Director General of the Uttar Pradesh Police, OP Singh said that at least nine people have died due to protest and around 218 people have been arrested from Lucknow in connection with anti-CAA protests that turned violent. He said, "Wherever lawsuits have been lodged, our local administrations are arresting them. But we will not arrest any innocent person. Only after investigation, we'll arrest them. We arrested around 218 people from Lucknow. And as per the last night's report, 9 people have died so far and the numbers could exceed and we are assessing on it." He further said that, "It might be possible that some external elements are involved in turning protest into violence."

No plans to extend Section 144 in Bengaluru: Police Commissioner

Bengaluru, Dec 21 (ANI): While speaking to ANI, Police Commissioner of Bengaluru City, Bhaskar Rao said that there is no plan of extending Section 144 in Bengaluru as of now. On imposition of Section 144, Rao said, "As of now, we have no plans to extend it but we will study the situation in the evening. These are things where we need to take immediate decisions."
