Chittoor (AP), Nov 17 (ANI): A coach of Kerala Express (Delhi to Trivandrum) derailed near Yerpedu railway station in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh on Nov 16. No casualties have been reported so far. Cause behind derailment is yet to be ascertained. More details in this regard are awaited.

Mumbai, Nov 16 (ANI): Shiv Sena leader, Sanjay Raut in Mumbai reiterated that the Government in Maharashtra will be under the leadership of a Chief Minister of Shiv Sena. Speaking to ANI, Shiv Sena said, "Undoubtedly, the government that we are going to form in Maharashtra will be under the leadership of a Chief Minister of Shiv Sena. We have got to know that the seating arrangement of two Shiv Sena MPs has been changed in the Parliament." Shiv Sena and BJP who had fought the Maharashtra Assembly polls together failed to form the government due to differences over power sharing. With no party or alliance presenting a letter of majority, Maharashtra Governor imposed President's rule in the state.
Maharashtra, Nov 16 (ANI): Maharashtra Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari announced a relief package of Rs 8000 per hectare up to 2 hectare for Kharif crop farmers. He also announced relief package of Rs18000 per hectare up to 2 hectares for perennial crop farmers. Farmers faced crop damages in parts of Maharashtra due to unseasonal rains.

Asansol (West Bengal), Nov 16 (ANI): Minister of State Climate Change and Forest Babul Supriyo slammed All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi over his comments on Ayodhya verdict. Babul Supriyo compared Owaisi with Islamic preacher Zakir Naik. "Asaduddin Owaisi is becoming second Zakir Naik. If he speaks more than required, then we do have law and order in our country," said Supriyo. Owaisi recently tweeted "I want my masjid back".
New Delhi, Nov 16 (ANI): Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on November 16 held a meeting with the leaders of all political parties in Delhi for the "smooth functioning" of Parliament during the upcoming winter session which is beginning from November 18. While the government is expected to lay thrust on its legislative agenda during the meeting, the opposition parties are likely to raise the issues of their concern during the session which will continue till December 13. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi will also convene an all-party meeting on November 17. It will be the second session since Prime Minister Narendra Modi returned to the office with a bigger majority for a second successive term.
New Delhi, Nov 16 (ANI): The quality of tap water was found to be the worst in the national capital. Union Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Saturday released the much-awaited report of the study of samples of drinking water taken from 20 states across the country, including Delhi. However, Mumbai topped the ranking released by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for quality of tap water. Delhi finished at the bottom, with 11 out of 11 samples failing on 19 parameters.
Pune (Maharashtra), Nov16 (ANI): Activist and Bhumata Brigade founder Trupti Desai stated that government is working against women, and disrespecting Supreme Court's order that allowed entry of women of all age groups in Sabarimala temple in Kerala. Speaking to ANI, Desai said, "Yesterday, the government said that they won't provide security to women, so women are going to Sabarimala Temple without protection. Now, women are being stopped, so I think the government is working completely against women."

Muzaffarpur (Bihar), Nov 16 (ANI): 144 Dengue cases have been recorded in Bihar's Muzaffarpur. "144 people have been tested positive for Dengue in Muzaffarpur. Fogging for dengue prevention has been done at 52 locations in the city," Muzaffarpur's Civil Surgeon Dr. Shailesh Prasad Singh told ANI. The number of cases tested positive for dengue were counted from January to November this year.
