Lekhi also lambasted at Congress by saying that the main opposition party should know how not to be intolerant of others who are doing better than them. SC today closed the contempt proceedings against Rahul Gandhi over his 'chowkidar chor hai' remark. He faced contempt charges for wrongly attributing the 'chowkidar chow hai' remark to the Supreme Court. Rahul Gandhi had later apologised to the court. The Supreme Court accepted Rahul's 'unconditional apology' and closed the contempt proceedings against him.

He said, "I think we have been vindicated. In December 2018 I had issued a statement that Supreme Court has given a fine judgement and at that time some people said that I was being political, which was incorrect." "I hope the matter is now laid to rest. Raking up such issues to get political gains, putting the interest of your armed forces behind, I think is not right." he added.

New Delhi, Nov 14 (ANI): Congress leader Kapil Sibal on Thursday hit back at Union Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks on President's Rule in Maharashtra and said that he is experienced as far as these matters are concerned. He further said that Shah knows how to break and how to unite political parties and we have seen glimpses of it in several states - be it in Goa or Karnataka. JNU admin building was blocked due to the continuous protest. JNU decided to partially roll-back hike proposed in hostel fees on Nov 13. Earlier, 17 MLAs were disqualified by the state assembly speaker KR Ramesh Kumar. Their disqualification was upheld by the Supreme Court, yesterday.
