Hyderabad (Telangana), Nov 11 (ANI): Two trains collided at Kacheguda Railway Station in Hyderabad on November 11. According to reports, local police and other railway staff were administering first aid to the injured people. Rescue operations are underway and more details are awaited.

CM Jairam Thakur honoured by VP Naidu at Samskrita Bharati's World Conference

New Delhi, Nov 11 (ANI): Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh Jairam Thakur was honoured by M Venkaiah Naidu at the Samskrita Bharati's World Conference in New Delhi. He was accorded the honour for giving second language status to Sanskrit in the state. Speaking at the event, CM Thakur said, "Sanskrit is not just the language of our country, it can also be a global language." "Despite living in the age of technology and progressing, Sanskrit has its own importance. Even in technology, the most suitable language found for computers was Sanskrit," he added. Health Minister Harsh Vardhan also attended the event.

'Not morally right to continue as Cabinet Minister': Arvind Sawant

New Delhi, Nov 11 (ANI): Shiv Sena leader Arvind Sawant, who tendered resignation from the post of Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises, stated that it would not be morally right for him to continue as Cabinet Minister. "BJP went back from their pre election promises. It would not have been morally right for me to continue in the Centre, so I have resigned as Union Minister," said Arvind Sawant, while addressing a press conference in New Delhi.

People of Delhi-NCR continue to suffer as air quality dips

New Delhi/ Ghaziabad (UP), Nov 11 (ANI): After a brief relief, pollution has again made a comeback in Delhi-NCR, with air quality index touching the 'severe' levels at some places. Delhi government has given two-day relaxation in wake of the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev as a major reason for a spike in pollution. While speaking to ANI, few people came out with their problems on air pollution, a local said, "We have facing itching problems in our eyes while walking. We also feels breathing problem in the air." People in national capital have been facing pollution's wrath. "We are facing problems in the air that's why we are wearing mask. Delhi-NCR people are facing more problems because of it," a local residence of Ghaziabad told ANI.

Over 30 passengers injured in bus accident in Haryana

Landslide in J-K's Ramban blocks highway

Ramban (J-K), Nov 11 (ANI): Vehicular traffic between Jammu and Srinagar remains suspended for second consecutive day following a landslide at Digdole area.Hundreds of vehicles are stranded on both ends of the blocked site on the NH44. According to Traffic Police sources, men and machinery of the concerned agency are busy in clearing the debris from the road but a big boulder on the road is a cause of concern and it might take the whole day in breaking it. This is the third time in last four days that NH44 has been blocked for the vehicular traffic.
