Amid the Maharashtra power tussle, Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said, "There is a meeting at 10 am today. We will proceed according to instruction from high command. But our original decision and decision of the people is that we should sit in opposition that is the present position." Meanwhile, Shiv Sena MP Arvind Sawant also resigned from his ministerial post of Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises.

New Delhi, Nov 11 (ANI): More and more pregnant women are reportedly facing kidney injury after being hospitalised, especially those with diabetes, says a recent study. Also, women with pregnancy-related acute kidney injury were much more likely to die while in the hospital than those without kidney injury. The findings will be presented at ASN Kidney Week 2019 at the Walter E Washington Convention Centre in Washington, DC. Kidney injury during pregnancy is associated with significant maternal and foetal morbidity and mortality. To study the issue, Silvi Shah, MD (University of Cincinnati), and her colleagues analysed records from the 2006-2015 Nationwide Inpatient Sample, a US database containing information on more than 7 million hospital stays each year. The researchers identified 42,190,790 hospitalisations during pregnancy, and the overall rate of hospitalisations involving acute kidney injury was 0.08 per cent. Mathura (UP), Nov 11 (ANI): India's first elephant memorial has been opened in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura. The memorial was opened in remembrance of elephants that lost their lives due to human brutalities. The first of its kind, memorial was established by a Mathura-based wildlife conservation centre. The stones in memorial have names and information of the elephants engraved that passed away in the conservation centre.
New Delhi, Nov 11 (ANI): Since lightning is considered one of the most unpredictable natural occurrences of nature, researchers found a method of predicting when lightning may strike. At EPFL's School of Engineering, researchers in the Electromagnetic Compatibility Laboratory, led by Farhad Rachidi, have developed a simple and inexpensive system that can predict when lightning will strike to the nearest 10 to 30 minutes, within a 30-kilometre radius. The system uses a combination of standard meteorological data and artificial intelligence. What's more, because the data can be acquired easily and in real-time, predictions can be made very quickly -- and alerts can be issued even before a storm has formed. The EPFL researchers' method uses a machine-learning algorithm that has been trained to recognise conditions that lead to lightning. Nagpur(Maharashtra), Nov 10 (ANI): Air Fest 2019 organised in Maharashtra's Nagpur to mark the 87th anniversary celebration of Indian Air Force on November 10. The air show was held at Indian Air Force's Headquarters Maintenance Command in Vayusena Nagar. The aim of the event was to showcase various facets of the Indian Air Force and to motivate the local youth to join the IAF.
