Youth Congress staged a protest in front of Reserve Bank of India (RBI)'s office in the national capital. The congress workers in Pune also raised slogans while staging a protest against demonetisation. In Lucknow, police have to use excessive force to control the NSUI workers during their protest. On November 8, 2016, the Centre had invalidated Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes and introduced new Rs 500 and Rs 2,000 notes, with an aim to tackle money laundering and terror funding.

New Delhi, Nov 08 (ANI): While talking on the Tis Hazari clash, DCP (Railways) Harendra Singh said that they had maintained patience during the incident on November 02. Delhi Police on Thursday (November 07) transferred two senior officers- Special Commissioner Sanjay Singh (Northern Range) and Additional DCP Harendra Singh (North district), following the Delhi High Court's order. The transfer order was issued after Amulya Patnaik, the Delhi Police chief met Ministry Of Home Affairs in the national capital.

Pushkar (Rajasthan), Nov 08 (ANI): Camel owners came out to protest against the state government demanding to bring the better laws in Rajasthan's Pushkar in terms of animal protection. The selling price of camels is going down year by year, currently locals are selling them from Rs 500 to Rs1500. Locals said if the situation continues, camels will be disappeared by 2023. However, State Government of Rajasthan on 30 June 2014 declared camels as the state animal. The step has been taken to check the diminishing number of camels in the state.

While the BJP government has opposed the decision of state government. Speaking on it, State Minister of Women and Child Development, Imarti Devi said, "We had consulted doctors before we decided to introduce eggs in midday meal menu in the state. In Maharashtra, which has a BJP govt, eggs are being served in midday meal since 2016. Their (BJP) main branch (RSS) which is headquartered in Maharashtra has not raised an issue over serving of eggs in midday meal in Maharashtra. Why are they doing politics over it issue in Madhya Pradesh."
Jaipur (Rajasthan), November 8 (ANI): Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot recently reviewed the law and order situation in various districts of the state with Divisional Commissioners, Commissioner of Police, Range IG, District Collectors and Superintendents of Police via video conferencing.During the meeting, Chief Minister said that, "Our government is committed to maintain peace and harmony in the state. It is the collective responsibility of the District Collector and SPs to work with better coordination and stay at alert to any such event, which is expected to deteriorate the atmosphere."Chief Minister also directed the collectors and the SPs to take feedback at the lower level by video conferencing with the officers posted at the field level. He said that CCTV cameras help in security arrangements and instructed to Install CCTV cameras wherever necessary.

Amaravati (AP), Nov 08 (ANI): State Skill Development Corporation launched 'Skills on Wheels' bus from Amaravati, to provide digital education in rural areas of the state. The bus will cover six districts of the state - Guntur, Prakasam, Nellore, Chittoor, Anantapur, and Kurnool. Speaking to ANI, Andhra State Skill Development Corporation Chairman Challa Madhusudhan Reddy said, "Through this, we'll impart computer education to schoolchildren, unemployed youth and Self Help Group members. We'll also educate them about govt schemes available for them. The bus will be in each dist for 20-40 days each."

New Delhi, Nov 08 (ANI): Keeping the body moving through physical activity does not only ensure the overall well-being, but it also reduces the risk of hip or any other fracture in older women. The study highlighting the comprehensive evaluation of physical activity and fracture incidence in postmenopausal women was published in JAMA Network Open. To establish a relation between the two, researchers included over 77,000 participants in the Women's Health Initiative, who were followed up over 14 years. During the follow-up, 33 per cent of participants reported experiencing at least one fracture.Women who did the highest amount of physical activity which was approximately 35 minutes or more of daily recreational and household activities had an 18 per cent lower risk of hip fracture and 6 per cent lower risk of total fracture. "Modest activities, including walking, can significantly reduce the risk of fracture, which can, in turn, lower the risk of death," Wactawski-Wende suggested.
Mumbai, Nov 08 (ANI): Andheri residents have set up a community fridge to reduce food wastage and provide food to the underprivileged people. People can get food from the fridge anytime between 1 PM and 2:30 PM and 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM daily. The initiative was started by the residents of Andheri and Versova Welfare Association. The aim is to check food wastage and use the extra food to feed the needy. Speaking to ANI, Afzal Ansari, who uses the community fridge said, "We come here at 12 o'clock for food. We get it by 1 PM to 2 PM. We are happy to get food as we are jobless." The food is provided by nearby eateries, residents of the area and members of the Versova Welfare Society.
