New Delhi, Nov 08 (ANI): Malicious apps are plaguing app stores and Google wants to fight them better. The search giant announced the launch of App Defense Alliance that will help stop the bad apps from reaching the official app stores. As the official blog notes, the App Defense Alliance will ensure the safety of the Google Play Store by quickly finding potentially harmful apps and stopping them from being published. Google has partnered with ESET, Lookout, and Zimperium to form the App Defense Alliance. It will use technologies including machine learning and static/dynamic analysis to detect abusive behaviour.
New Delhi, Nov 07 (ANI): Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee on November 07 staged a protest outside Delhi Secretariat over soaring prices of onions in the capital. The protest was helmed by DPCC president Subhash Chopra. The protestors showed their aggression by wearing garlands of onions. They blamed Delhi government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the onion price hike and not taking any actions against it. Onion prices are skyrocketing due to unseasonal rains in producing states.
Ayodhya (UP), Nov 07 (ANI): Ahead of probable verdict in Ayodhya case, Uttar Pradesh Police conducted surveillance with drone in Ayodhya. As more than 4,000 paramilitary personnel have been sent to Ayodhya, the temple town is looking to be turned into a virtual fortress to stop any untoward incident that might pose a threat towards law and order. Security arrangements have also been tightened and Section 144 has already been implemented in Ayodhya as precautionary measures.
New Delhi, Nov 07 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs' Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar on November 07 said that Kartarpur Corridor is a matter of faith only and India stands firm on terrorism issue with Pakistan. India's demand to Pakistan is very clear that it should take action against terrorism and in that demand India hasn't said Pakistan to open Kartarpur Corridor, the issue on which India-Pak talks have stuck is that Pak has to show India the action which it has taken on terrorism in its territory, Kumar added.

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and Transport Minister Kailash Gahlot were also present at the event. The buses are equipped with hydraulic lifts, CCTV cameras and panic button under the cluster scheme.

Jaipur (Rajasthan), November 07 (ANI): In a meeting to review the law and order situation in the state, organized at Chief Minister's office in Jaipur, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that government is committed to maintain law and order in the state.In the meeting, CM instructed the officials to speed up the work of setting up of reception in police stations for better hearing of the complainants.Gehlot also gave directions to improve the self-defense training programme for girls given by the police to them and asked to prepare web portals so that interested girls can learn self defence skills through it.The chief minister said that the cyber and economic crime have increased in recent years. So police should use technology along with the services of cyber experts in research of such cases.Chief Minister also reviewed the work being done to prevent organised crime, free registration policy and to improve police functioning in the meeting.
Off Kochi Coast (Arabian Sea), Nov 07 (ANI): The Southern Naval Command of Indian Navy conducted an operational demonstration off Kochi Coast as part of the Navy Week Celebration. Three naval ships INS Tir, INS Sunayna and INS Sujatha along with a Coast Guard vessel participated in the event. The event demonstrated various activities of the Indian Navy including search and rescue operation, Replenishment at Sea and Visit Board Search Seizure. The demonstration focused on showcasing operational capabilities of Navy and life of its personnel in the open Sea.

New Delhi, Nov 07 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs' official spokesperson Raveesh Kumar cleared India's stand on reports of Nepal's objection to inclusion of Kalapani as part of new map of India released by the government. He informed that the Indian map accurately depicts the sovereign territory of India and that the new map has in "no manner" revised India's boundary with Nepal. He said, "The boundary delineation exercise with Nepal is ongoing under the existing mechanism. We reiterate our commitment to find a solution through dialogue in the spirit of our close and friendly bilateral relations."
New Delhi, Nov 07 (ANI): Talking on "conflicting reports" about the need of passport for pilgrims to visit Kartarpur shrine in Pakistan through the Kartarpur Corridor, Ministry of External Affairs' Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar said that as per the MoU signed between India and Pakistan, passport is needed, and any amendment cannot be done unilaterally. "We are aware that there is bilateral document which has been signed between India and Pakistan which clearly specifies the document to be carried by the pilgrims. Any amendment to existing MoU cannot be done unilaterally, it requires consent of both the parties," said Raveesh Kumar. He further added, "Reports coming in from Pakistan are conflicting, sometimes they say passport is needed and other times that it isn't. We think there are differences between their Foreign Office and other agencies. We have a MoU, it hasn't been changed and as per it passport is needed.
New Delhi, Nov 07 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs' Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar reacted on Khalistani separatist Jarnail Bhindranwale being featured in Pakistan Government's official video on Kartarpur Corridor. He said that India condemns Pakistan's attempt to undermine the spirit under which the pilgrimage is supposed to be undertaken. He also informed that India has lodged a strong protest over the issue. Mumbai, Nov 07 (ANI): Amidst the impasse between BJP and Shiv Sena over the formation of government in Maharashtra, a delegation led by state BJP President, Chandrakant Patil met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari on Thursday and discussed political situation of the state. "People of Maharashtra have given the mandate to 'Mahayuti' (alliance). There is a delay in government formation. Varanasi (UP), Nov 07 (ANI): As air quality is worsening in Uttar Pradesh along with many other states, priests at Tarkeshwar Mahadev Temple in Varanasi covered the 'Shivling' with a mask to "protect" Lord Shiva from bad air quality. The Air Quality Index (AQI) peaked at 226 in the city today which falls under the poor category according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB). A devotee said, "The air is polluted in the city and to save 'Bhole Baba' from this poisonous air we have put on the mask. We believe if he is safe, we will also remain safe."

Light showers in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and JandK are attributed to the Cyclone Maha remnants. The cyclone has weakened already, only remnants are left." "Drastic improvement in air quality will only be observed in the case of heavy rains. Light showers and drizzles won't better the air quality much," he added.
