The King of Netherlands is on five-day visit to India and had arrived in New Delhi on late night of October 13. He also received a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in presence of President Ram Nath Kovind. Willem-Alexander is also accompanied by Queen Maxima.

New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): The government is mulling to include aviation turbine fuel and natural gas in the ambit of Goods and Services Tax (GST). Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan on October 14 said that his ministry has appealed to Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to take cognizance of the appeal. The Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister also showed his confidence that the Finance Minister will be able to convince the GST Council to take the 'progressive decision.' "We've appealed to Finance Minister that at least aviation turbine fuel and natural gas should come in the ambit of GST. I'm confident that at an appropriate time she will be able to convince GST Council to take this progressive decision," Pradhan told reporters in the national capital.
Chamarajanagar (Karnataka), Oct 14 (ANI): A man-eating tiger was captured by forest department from Bandipore forest of Karnataka. The man-hunter tiger had killed two people and several animals in a span of 3 months. The forest department was searching for the tiger for last one week. The event took place at Dolphin Adventure Sports in Hawaii Beach, Dona Paula. The event was kick-started on October 09 and was hosted by the Goa Yachting Association for the first time. Hyderabad, Oct 14 (ANI): Road Transport Corporation (RTC) employees carried out a candlelight march in Hyderabad on October 13 in remembrance of driver Srinivas Reddy. Reddy died after immolating himself during a protest. While speaking to ANI, Indian Federation of Trade Unions Vice-President (Telangana) SL Padma said, "An RTC driver died today after he immolated himself during a protest in the city on Saturday. It is tragic news for the RTC workers. We urge the striking protesters not to commit suicide." RTC employees from various depots carried out a candlelight march, which started from Musheerabad RTC depot and ended at Ram Nagar Circle. Speaking to ANI, an RTC employee said, "We are not receiving our salaries. We have repeatedly sent notice to the state government but they have forced us to strike during this festive season." New Delhi, Oct 14 (ANI): Study found that patients suffering from dry eye can be cured with a new eye drop made from human antibodies. Researchers at the University of Illinois at Chicago are the first to identify the presence of a specific type of antibody, called anti-citrullinated protein autoantibodies, or ACPAs, in human tear fluid. They are also the first to demonstrate that patients with dry eye disease experienced reduced signs and symptoms of the condition in response to a new eye drop treatment -- made from human pooled antibodies -- that targets ACPAs. The findings from their early-stage clinical trial are reported in the journal -- The Ocular Surface. Jaipur (Rajasthan), Oct 14 (ANI): 'Safas' decorated with threads of precious metals like silver and gold were said to have been last worn by the Rajputs around 80 years ago. But a Jaipur-based designer has recreated the signature apparel. The designer named Bhupendra Singh Shekhawat spent around four years experimenting with several metals to be able to make a 24-carat gold 'Safa', a traditional turban worn by men in the state. The 'Safa', made by Shekhawat, costs around Rs 22 lakh, weighs around 530 grams and is nine meters long. Speaking to ANI, Bhupendra Shekhawat said, "I wanted to make gold 'Safa'. Mumbai, Oct 14 (ANI): Several environmentalists paid tributes to the trees on October 13 which were cut in Aarey colony by the authorities to construct a car shed for Mumbai Metro. They lighted candles at the spot where around 2000 trees were cut by the authorities earlier this month. On October 7, the Supreme Court (SC) had ordered Maharashtra government not to axe any more trees in Mumbai's Aarey colony and maintain status quo till further orders. Prior to this, the Bombay High Court had upheld the permission granted to the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation's (BMC) authority to axe tree to make a metro-car shed. The metro corporation said that on October 4 and 5, it axed over 2,185 trees in the area in concurrence with the order of the High Court. Earlier, a protest broke out in the area after the Bombay High Court dismissed all the petitions challenging the felling of trees.
