In next 3 years, every house in MP to have taps, drinking water: CM Shivraj

Katni (Madhya Pradesh), Feb 06 (ANI): Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Shivraj Singh Chouhan inaugurated various development projects in Katni on February 06. While addressing the public, CM Chouhan said, "In next three years, there'll be taps and drinking water in every house. Poor will be provided with money to build pucca houses. About 3,25,000 Ayushman cards were made including free treatment upto Rs 5 lakh for needy."

IIT Kanpur develops unmanned drone-helicopter

Kanpur (UP), Feb 05 (ANI): IIT Kanpur's Aeronautics Department in collaboration with a start-up have developed an unmanned drone-helicopter. This drone-helicopter can be used for long-endurance surveillance and vaccine distribution. With the capacity to carry weight up to 5kg, it can cover distance of 50km. As the weight reduces, the distance can be increased to 100km. Drone-helicopter can fly up to 11,500 feet but the long range trails are to be held soon. Department of Aerospace Engineering's Professor Abhishek said, "It operates on petrol and can go working for straight 3-4 hours. It can be used for vaccine distribution in far-flung areas."

COVID-19: No deaths reported in past 3 weeks in 251 districts, informs Health Ministry

New Delhi, Feb 04 (ANI): The Union Health Ministry on February 04 informed that 251 districts in India have not reported any COVID related deaths in the last 3 weeks. "There are two states that have 70% of the active cases - Kerala and Maharashtra. 47 districts haven't reported new COVID-19 cases in last 3 weeks and 251 districts have not reported any COVID related deaths in the last 3 weeks," said Union Health Secretary.

Hardeep Puri performs 'bhoomi poojan' ceremony of Central Vista Avenue

New Delhi, Feb 04 (ANI): The 'bhoomi poojan' ceremony of the Central Vista Avenue was performed by Hardeep Singh Puri, Union Minister for Housing and Urban Affairs here at India Gate on Thursday. With this ceremony, the work has started for the development and redevelopment of Central Vista Avenue. The Central Vista Avenue starting from North and South Block to India Gate, which includes the Rajpath, its adjoining lawns and canals, rows of tree, Vijay Chowk and the India Gate plaza, is a 3 km long stretch. The government has decided to refurbish and improve the avenue, as part of the comprehensive transformation of Central Vista. The government approved a proposal for the development of Central Vista Avenue with an estimated cost of Rs 608 crores. Moreover, the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) has been entrusted to carry out this important work.
