Rewa (MP), Oct 04 (ANI): A poster of Mahatma Gandhi, at 'Bapu Bhavan' in MP's Rewa, was found defaced on Oct 02. An urn containing his ashes was also allegedly found missing. Police said, "Poster has been repainted, FIR registered. Investigation is on. We've not received a complaint regarding the urn."
Raipur (Chhattisgarh), Oct 04 (ANI): Congress Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) from Chhattisgarh's Rajim Amitesh Shukla staged a walkout from the state Assembly in Raipur on October 03. He walked out from Chhattisgarh Assembly after he was not allowed time to speak on Mahatma Gandhi. A special session was organised in the Assembly to commemorate the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. While speaking to ANI, MLA Amitesh Shukla said, "It's sad that I was not given time to speak. Coming from a family of freedom fighters, I wanted to say things and talk about Mahatma Gandhi but I was not given the opportunity. So, I walked out." Amritsar (Punjab), Oct 04 (ANI): Two persons were arrested in Punjab's Amritsar with around 12 kg of heroin by the rural police on October 03. The two accused have been identified as Gurpreet Gopi and Gurpal Singh. Police have taken them in custody for three days. While speaking to ANI, Sub Inspector of Amritsar Mohit Kumar said, "12 kg heroin has been recovered from their possession. The accused have been sent to three days police remand."

New Delhi, Oct 03 (ANI): Vietnam has repeatedly called on China to remove all its vessels out of Vietnamese waters in South China Sea, said Pham Sanh Chau, Ambassador of Vietnam to India. "The situation is serious because Chinese vessels are still in Vietnamese waters. We have repeatedly told the Chinese side to withdraw all its vessels out of Vietnamese waters in order to respect international law."
