Bengaluru, Feb 03 (ANI): Government's approval for indigenous manufacturing of 83 LCA Mk 1A to HAL is the single largest order, said DRDO Chairman G Satheesh Reddy. "It's a major development in aeronautics history of the country. It will give a major boost to aeronautics of the country. It's the single largest order ever from IAF as far as number of aircraft is concerned," said DRDO Chairman.
Bengaluru, Feb 03 (ANI): In order to make India Aatmanirbhar, DRDO exhibited high level of indigenous content in defence forces. DRDO has displayed the models of its futuristic fighter aircraft, including the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft and LCA Mark 2, at Aero India 2021 in Bengaluru. Defence Research and Development Organisation has also showcased India's under-development fifth-generation fighter aircraft Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft at Aero India. As per DRDO, the aircraft would come with stealth features and all capabilities of a multirole fighter plane.

"PM has been asking us to enhance indigenous content in the Armed Forces. Gen Bipin Rawat also said that we should fight next war with indigenous weapons only. In next 5 years, we should be able to see very high level of indigenous content in defence forces," DRDO chairman told ANI.

A wide range of products made by prison inmates like Bakery products, Namkeen, Biscuits, Spices, Housekeeping products, Wooden Crafts, Mustard Oil, Hand-made File Covers, Pant-Shirts, Blankets and Bed-sheets, Facemasks are retailed on these stores. The prisoners who are lodged in Semi-Open Jail are employed at these stores as store-assist. With the improvement in COVID-19 situation, Tihar Emporia reopened in August last year and Tihar Haat resumed its service recently. Both the stores will remain opened on all seven days from 11AM to 07PM. The new venture Tihar Art Gallery will also come up very soon near the Tihar Haat building. Here, paintings and sculpture made by Tihar Prison inmates will be showcased for exhibition and sale purposes.

Either you believe that you need to get rid of the laws or you don't. I feel this issue needs to be resolved as soon as possible and Govt needs to listen as farmers aren't going away," he added.

"You talk of privatisation which will benefit them. India needs to put money in the hands of its people. Because if we want to restart our economy, it will only be through consumption. Bhopal (MP), Feb 03 (ANI): Amid the ongoing farmers' protest against the farm laws, Madhya Pradesh's Home Minister Narottam Mishra said that the 'farmers' agitation is an experiment'. "Farmers' stir is an experiment. If it's successful, then people will start protests against CAA-NRC, Article 370 and Ram Temple. Nobody has been able to explain 'what's so black about the black laws' (farm laws). These protests are based on assumptions," said MP Home Minister Mishra.
Guwahati (Assam), Feb 03 (ANI): Assam government pointed out many anomalies in implementation process of 1st National Register of Citizens, said Transformation and Development Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. "Citizenship Amendment Act has been passed, rule is yet to be framed. So, it is entirely up to Government of India to frame the rule and modify it. So far as NRC in Assam is concerned, we have already pointed out many anomalies in the implementation process of the first NRC. Our NRC coordinator has already filed an affidavit detailing anomalies and requirement of a re-verification process. Assam NRC issue is basically between judiciary and Assam govt and nothing is to be decided by Govt of India, per se. Our matter is in the court and Assam issue will be independent of what has been stated in the Parliament. Assam issue will be decided by Court, Govt of India and Govt of Assam," said Assam Minister Sarma.

We are probing role of main leaders in route violations." "There is no coordination issue with Punjab Police, though we haven't been able to arrest Deep Sidhu. Hopefully, he will be traced soon. Be it politicians or their followers, probe will proceed ahead on basis of evidence and action will be taken against them," Special CP (Crime) added.

New Delhi, February 3 (ANI): In a programme organized at in outer district of Delhi, Police Commissioner SN Shrivastava met policemen, who sustained injuries during the tractor rally violence on Republic Day. Special commissioner of Police, Western Range, Sanjay Singh was also present at the programme. As many as 144 police personnel of Western range got injured during the clash. Addressing the Police personnel, Special Commissioner Sanjay Singh said, "the tough conditions in which they are performing their duty amidst the farmers protest is commendable."
