Japanese PM Abe to visit India in December: Foreign Secy Vijay Gokhale

Vladivostok (Russia), Sep 05 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe in Russia's Vladivostok. Foreign Secretary of India, Vijay Gokhale gave a brief about the meeting to mediapersons. Gokhale said, "As you know, besides we have very cordial relationship with Japan over the years, the two Prime Ministers are also very good friends and know each other for a very long time. So, it was very cordial and warm discussion. A lot of discussion was on bilateral relationship with particular emphasis on the forthcoming visit of Japanese Prime Minister to India for the Annual Summit that would take place sometime in December. The dates will be negotiated and announced in due course. Both leaders have agreed that the first 2+2 Ministerial meeting i.e. the Foreign and Defence Ministers of the two countries will have a meeting preferably before this Annual Summit. 30-feet-tall Lord Ganesha idol made with 2 lakh bangles in Chittoor

Chittoor (Andhra Pradesh), Sep 05 (ANI): As the country is dipped in the festivity mood, artists round the country are showcasing their talents by coming up with different ideas of making eco-friendly idols of Lord Ganesha. A 30-feet-tall idol of Lord Ganesha has been made with 2 lakh bangles in Thummalagunta village of Andhra Pradesh's Chittoor. After the festival, the idol won't be immersed, instead the bangles will be distributed among women in the neighbourhood as 'prasad'. The step has been taken to avoid water pollution.

Auto-rickshaw driver fined Rs 47,500 for drunk driving, not carrying required documents in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar (Odisha), Sep 05 (ANI): An auto-rickshaw driver was fined with Rs 47,500 for drunk driving and not carrying required documents. He said, "I was charged for several things like fitness, permit, driving license." Regional Transport Office (RTO) said, ''The provision is for any vehicle that violates law, it doesn't matter whether the vehicle was bought for Rs 62,000 or Rs 2000".

Male (Maldives), Sep 05 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Ram Madhav attended Indian Ocean Conference in Maldives's Male. After attending the conference, he talked about challenges and problem related to ISIS terror group that West Asia is dealing with. He said, "ISIS terror group which was hitherto challenge and a problem in West Asia, has slowly started expanding its tentacles into the Indian Ocean region. Certain countries have already become target of its terror activities". While talking about India and the terror organisation, he said that India doesn't provide space for any such organisation. Not genetics, lifestyle leads to most premature heart diseases

New Delhi, Sep 05 (ANI): Physical inactivity, smoking, high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol play a greater role than genetics in many young patients with heart diseases, suggests a new study. The research presented at 'ESC Congress 2019' showed that healthy behaviours should be a top priority for reducing heart disease even in those with a family history of early-onset. The study enrolled 1,075 patients under 50, of whom 555 had coronary artery disease (known as premature CAD). Specific conditions included stable angina, heart attack, and unstable angina. Five modifiable risk factors were assessed: physical inactivity, smoking, high blood pressure, diabetes, and high cholesterol. Nearly three-quarters (73 per cent) of patients had at least three of these risk factors compared to 31 per cent of controls. In both groups, the likelihood of developing CAD increased exponentially with each additional risk factor. The probability of CAD was 3, 7, and 24 times higher with 1, 2,

Strict action should be taken against those who don't obey the CM: MP Congress leader

He said, "Some of the state ministers are making comments and several of our MLAs are saddened by it. Gmail now lets you block auto-download of images on iPhone

New Delhi, Sep 05 (ANI): In its latest update for iOS, Gmail now allows users to block images from displaying automatically. As described on the Apple App Store, with the version 6.0.190811 Gmail for iOS, users can choose to be asked before external images are displayed automatically. To enable the setting for new incoming messages, head to Settings > choose the account > Images and select Ask before displaying external images. The feature is helpful when you are on a weaker connection.

16 dead after fire breaks out at cracker factory in Punjab's Gurdaspur

Gurdaspur (Punjab), Sep 04 (ANI): At least 16 people died and another 10 people were injured after a fire broke out at a cracker factory in Punjab's Gurdaspur, according to Deepak Bhatia, Sub-Divisional Magistrate of Gurdaspur. Agreement on Kartarpur fell short of finalization because of Pakistan's inflexibility: MHA Joint Secy

Talking to media, S C L Das, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs on India-Pak's 3rd meeting on Kartarpur corridor said, "Owing to certain differences on a few issues, the agreement couldn't be finalised. Pakistan has insisted on charging a service fee for allowing pilgrims to visit Gurdwara Kartarpur Sahib, which is not agreeable in spirit." He added, "Pakistan has also shown its unwillingness to allow the presence of Indian Consular or Protocol officials at the Gurdwara premises. Pakistan side was urged to reconsider its position."

New Delhi, Sep 04 (ANI): Indian National Congress (INC) spokesperson Manish Tewari took a potshot at NDA government over the current situation of Jammu and Kashmir situation after abrogation of article 370 in the state. He said that there has been a complete shutdown in the valley and it is in an undeclared emergency where civic right of the people is seized to exist. Youth Congress stages protest over DK Shivakumar's arrest

New Delhi, Sep 04 (ANI): Congress youth wing on September 4 held a massive protest in the national capital's Raisina Road. The protest turned violent after police intervention. The Youth Congress protested over the arrest of DK Shivakumar on September 3 by the Enforcement Directorate. ED arrested Shivakumar after four days of questioning over money-laundering allegations. Protest broke out in several parts of Karnataka following the arrest.
