Chhindwara (MP), Sep 01 (ANI): As many as 168 people suffered injuries during the annual "Gotmar" (stone-pelting) festival in Madhya Pradesh's Chhindwara district on August 31. The area, where the festival took place, was monitored by the police personnel and drones. A case has been registered against those found using catapults to fling stones. During the festival, residents of Pandhurna and Sawargaon villages gathered on the opposite sides of the Jam River bank and pelted stones at each other as a part of a centuries-old tradition.

The last quarter's GDP growth rate of 5% signals that were in midst of a prolonged slowdown. Agra (UP), Sep 01 (ANI): The discovery of two mortars in Mandi Gud village, which comes under the Fatehpur Sikri police station, created panic in the area on Saturday. The police arrived on the spot and transferred the mortars to a lab for further investigation. While speaking to ANI, Superintendent of Police (West Zone) Ravi Kumar said, "Two mortars were found on Saturday in the Fatehpur Sikri police station area. However, they turned out to be dummies. Although they are not active but we request people not to tamper with such objects whenever they are found, Kumar added that Agra and nearby regions had seen troop movements during the Second World War and therefore such discoveries are possible in the future too."
New Delhi, Sep 01 (ANI): A lot has been said about the radiation caused by smartphone and as 5G is being rolled out across the world, concerns about the negative effects of technology are also on the rise. A study published in the New Zealand Medical Journal notes that any potentially harmful biological effects are more commonly seen in low-quality scientific studies, Cnet reports. The researchers argue that many of the studies indicating the effect of radiofrequency (RF) radiation going beyond heating of human tissue are of low quality but get published because they are interesting. They further argue that these studies lack the consistency in terms of their results and anti-5G sentiment without scientific evidence would do more harm than good.
