Caught on cam: Unknown people attempt to kidnap married woman in Rajasthan's Dholpur

Dholpur (Rajasthan), Oct 20 (ANI): Few unknown people attempted to kidnap a young married woman in Rajasthan's Dholpur district on October 18. The incident was caught on the CCTV camera. Two men forcibly picked her up and pushed her into the car. People were mere spectators to the incident, unless a person operating an emitter stepped forward and saved her. The woman claimed that these men were sent by her husband whom she had abandoned due to his illegal affairs. She said that he is forcibly trying to take her back.

Guwahati's Durga puja committees reduce celebration budget amid pandemic

Guwahati (Assam), Oct 20 (ANI): Big-budget Durga puja committees in Guwahati decided to lower down the budget this year ahead of COVID-19 pandemic. Bishnupur Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee has decided not to make a giant pandal this year. The budget of celebration this year has been reduced to Rs. 2 lakh which earlier was Rs. 25 lakh. COVID protocols issued by the government will be followed during the celebration. Around 50 people will be allowed at a time to stand in the ground, which will be regularly monitored and sanitized.

Apple Music launches TV channel for music videos

New Delhi, Oct 20 (ANI): Tech giant Apple has recently launched the channel Apple Music TV which is exclusively for music videos. According to The Verge, Apple Music TV is a free, curated, 24-hour live stream of popular music videos where American users can watch videos in the browse tabs of the Apple Music app and on the Apple TV app. The new channel can be seen as a direct shot at YouTube's dominance of the music video space.

JKCA scam case: Not worried, says Farooq Abdullah on ED interrogation

New Delhi, Oct 18 (ANI): Chief Minister of Delhi, Arvind Kejriwal on October 19 said that if all concerned governments and parties come together, then air pollution in Delhi can be controlled in less than four years time. He said, "I heard Union Environment Minister, Prakash Javadekar's statement over pollution and I 100%, agree with him but don't agree with the time period of 4 years he gave to control it. I feel all governments should come together and launch a joint war against air pollution. If all governments and all parties come together leaving politics aside we can control pollution in less than 4 years time. I would like to request Union Environment Minister to hold meetings with Chief Ministers of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab every month." Every year the air quality of northern India gets deteriorated in winters.

Don't know the context: Digvijaya on Kamal Nath's 'item' remark for BJP's Imarti Devi

Bhopal (MP), Oct 19 (ANI): Congress veteran leader and former Madhya Pradesh chief minister Digvijaya Singh reacted on Kamal Nath calling BJP leader Imarti Devi an "Item". Singh said he was unaware about the context in which Nath used the word. "I don't know in what context Kamal Nath Ji's said the word. I also don't know the requirement behind the 'natak' 'nautanki' BJP is doing today.... No one from Madhya Pradesh's BJP said anything on Hathras incident." Recently, Nath called Imarti Devi 'Item' during an election rally. Imarti Devi is a scheduled caste candidate of BJP.

Irani said, "I can't find any justification that Kamal Nath ji (former MP CM) can give for using such derogatory word against a woman political leader (referring to BJP's Imarti Devi as "item"). I can't understand why Gandhi family chooses to be absolutely silent. She further said, "I don't think Gandhi family will take action against Kamal Nath for making such a derogatory statement against a lady. Be it Kamal Nath or Digvijaya Singh, these are the people who keep fire burning in Gandhi family's kitchen." On October 18, former CM of MP and Congress leader Kamal Nath had used word 'item' for BJP leader Imarti Devi in a public rally in Gwalior.

Woman allegedly raped at gunpoint by 2 in Kanpur, probe underway

Schools partially reopen in UP, Punjab amid COVID-19 pandemic

However, schools have to followed proper guidelines issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA). The schools will run in shifts and 50% students will be called in every class on day one and the remaining 50% the next day. UP, Punjab and Sikkim has partially reopened their schools from today onwards while many states are still deciding for reopening schools amid COVID-19.
