New Delhi, Mar 08 (ANI): President Ram Nath Kovind conferred 'Nari Shakti Puraskar' to the women, who proved the world that being a woman is not a weakness but a superpower. IAF's women fighter pilots Mohana Jitarwal, Avani Chaturvedi and Bhawana Kanth received the 'Nari Shakti Puraskar'. 103-year-old Mann Kaur also honored by President for her achievements in athletics. Known as 'Mushroom Mahila' for popularising mushroom cultivation, Bihar's Bina Devi also received the 'Nari Shakti Puraskar'. She was 'Sarpanch' of Dhauri Panchayat, Tetiabamber block for 5 years.

International Women's Day: Indian Railways runs fully lady operated train in Uttar Pradesh

Moradabad (UP), Mar 08 (ANI): On the occasion of International Women's Day, Indian Railways kick-started fully lady operated train in Uttar Pradesh. The train is fully operated by 35 women employees, including loco pilots, ticket checker, RPF, operation staff. Women employees thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the initiative taken by Indian Railways. The train is running from Najibabad Junction to Aligarh Junction.

No entry fee for women at ASI monuments on International Women's Day

New Delhi, Mar 08 (ANI): Union Minister for Tourism and Culture Prahlad Singh Patel informed that today ASI monuments will allow entry of women without tickets. "To mark the occasion of #WomensDay , all the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) monuments will allow entry of women, without tickets," said Patel, while talking to ANI.

Thick layer of fog canopies Ghaziabad days after rainfall

Pune man to get 'Best Mommy of the World' award on Women's Day

Speaking to ANI, Daisy said, "I took advice from 2-3 people and they suggested me Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana (PMMY). I took help from Union Bank. With that investment I started my own manufacturing. I have been manufacturing hosiery clothing since past 2 years." She further elaborated on her achievements after taking loan from bank, she said, "The help from bank has expanded the margin of my investment. Earlier I had only 5-7 labours, right now there are 20-25 workers working for me."
