Peshawar (Pakistan), Jun 08 : The anger is simmering across the region of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as people have taken to streets protesting against the Pakistan establishment in the wake of the heinous murder of a Sikh activist Charanjeet Singh in broad daylight of Peshawar on May 29. Police have termed it a targeted killing and have also claimed to have reached counter-terrorist agencies for the same. However, protestors accuse the satanic collaboration of Islamabad and Rawalpindi behind the killing that has intensified its attacks on marginalised, especially in the run up to the general elections slated next month. The grieving community says that Islamabad was indifferent to its plights, which were getting increasingly harrowing with the time. Sikhs have remained bereft of basic rights in Pakistan for years. Qingdao (China), Jun 08 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold bilateral talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in China's Qingdao on June 09. The two leaders are expected to take forward what was discussed during informal summit in Wuhan last month, said Gautam Bambawale, Indian Ambassador to China. Emergency crews have resumed search and rescue operations. The rescue was hampered on Monday after the fresh flow of lava. It is said to be the most violent eruption in more than four decades. It spewed an 8km (five-mile) stream of lava and emitted a thick cloud of black smoke.

Dhaka (Bangladesh), Jun 06 (ANI): Bangladesh Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith said the government will allocate a special fund for Rohingya rehabilitation in the upcoming 2018-19 fiscal year budget. "We planned to allocate around Tk400 crore as special funds for Rohingya rehabilitation," Dhaka Tribune quoted Muhith as saying. The allocation will be provided mainly for building shelters for Rohingya rehabilitation. Specific allocations to ensure health care, sanitation, and food supply would also be given to the concerned ministries, Muhith further said. The proposed budget will be announced in Parliament on Thursday. Rohingyas are a Muslim minority ethnic group in Myanmar, who are considered as illegal immigrants as opposed to citizens of the country.
New Delhi, Jun 05 (ANI): Lava from Hawaii's Kilauea volcano threatened area where several residents have become trapped. According to the officials, dozens of people are stranded there. Some chose to stay and now the area has no power, cell reception, landlines or county water. National Guard troops, police and firefighters evacuated people from homes, hours before lava cut off road access to the area affected by the Kilauea volcano. A stream of lava flowed over a highway near Kapoho, a seaside community rebuilt after a destructive eruption of Kilauea in 1960. Lava also destroyed a freshwater lake, boiling away all of the water in it.

Kabul (Afghanistan), Jun 05 (ANI): A blast occurred on Tuesday reportedly close to a girls school in Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province, confirmed the Afghan authorities. According to Afghan's TOLO News, no reports of casualties or injuries have been reported by far. According to a White House official, the iftar dinner is scheduled to be held on June 13.
