Kathmandu (Nepal), May 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday attended civic felicitation program at Rastriya Sabha Griha in Kathmandu. The Mayor of Kathmandu, Bidya Sundar Shakya presented key of the city to the Prime Minister. PM Modi was also presented with souvenirs. PM Modi is on a two-day visit to Nepal, where he flagged off the bus service between Janakpur and Ayodhya on May 11.

India signs 7 MoUs with Myanmar

Nay Pyi Taw (Myanmar), May 11 (ANI): Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj and Myanmar's State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi witnessed signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Myanmar's Nay Pyi Taw on Friday. India and Myanmar signed seven Memorandums of Understandings (MOUs) These were an MOU on Agreement on land Border crossing, MOU on Restoration and preservation of earthquake Damaged pagodas in Bagan, MOU on assistance to the joint ceasefire Monitoring Committee, MOU on training of Myanmar foreign service officer, MOU on setting up industrial Training Center (ITC) at Monywa, MOU on ITC at Thaton and Exchange of letter on extending a maintenance contract for ITC Myingyan. EAM Swaraj's visit was a part of the ongoing high-level interaction between the governments of India and Myanmar.

King Janak and King Dashratha not only united Janakpur and Ayodhya but also united India and Nepal. Ayodhya is nothing without Janakpur".

Haqqani Network, LeT behind terror attacks in Kabul

Kabul (Afghanistan), May 11 (ANI): The National Directorate of Security (NDS) said in a statement that Haqqani Network had plotted suicide bombings in Kabul with the help of Lashkar-e-Taiba. Police said a travel agency called Shahir in Shahr-r-Naw area in downtown Kabul was the target of suicide attackers. It provided Indian visa services. At least seven people were killed, including two police, and 17 were wounded in the incident. Afghan interior minister indirectly blamed Pakistan for harbouring terrorists who carry out attacks in Afghanistan. Be it the Taliban Islamic State, Haqqani network or the Lashkar-e-Taiba they have sanctuaries near the Durand line inside Pakistani territory. On several occasions, Afghanistan has accused Pakistan of sheltering terrorists who carry out major attacks. However, Pakistan denies allegations of sending militants to Afghanistan.

Gainey could face up to 20 years in prison if she's convicted.

New murder charges in Golden State Killer case

Santa Barbara (USA), May 11 (ANI): The Santa Barbara District Attorney Joyce Dudley announced that she has filed new murder charges against an ex-policeman charged with murder in connection with a string of rapes and killings across California attributed to the "Golden State Killer." "I have decided to file four counts of first degree murder with special circumstances against Joseph James DeAngelo. Each of the four counts carries multiple allegations each of the four counts carry the potential for a sentence of life without possibility of parole or the death sentence," said Dudley.
