Bhutto is queer. Is Pakistan ready for this coming out?

New Delhi, Feb 21 (ANI): Zulfikar Ali Bhutto is a queer, he is scion of the Pakistan's political dynasty, who shares same name of his grandfather and former Pakistan Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto. The grandson Bhutto is a visual and performance artist based in New York. He came into limelight in a short filmed named "The Turmeric Project", which highlights South Asian LGBTQ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer) community living in the United States of America. The short film begins with caption "Queer Muslim Proud" followed by an introduction of the subject. Zulfikar Bhutto is seen dancing wearing a silky dress in the film. The subject of the movie revolves around his work and intersection of Islam, masculinity and sexuality. Zulfikar Bhutto has said that his family did not pressurise him to enter into politics, but several Pakistanis believe him to be natural heir of the political dynasty.

Nearly 250 civilians killed in Syria 'bombardment'

Syria, Feb 21 (ANI): Nearly 250 civilians have been killed by shelling and regime airstrikes in Syria's Eastern Ghouta region in the last 48 hours, the UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said on Tuesday. Doctors were working round the clock to treat hundreds of injured people, even though medical supplies and facilities were in short supply.

Zimbabweans pay tribute to late Opposition leader Tsvangirai

Harare (Zimbabwe), Feb 20 (ANI): Thousands of supporters gathered at Harare's Freedom Square on Monday for the final farewell to Zimbabwe's late Opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai. Tsvangirai died last week at the age of 65. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan ties knot for third time

New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has confirmed its chairman Imran Khan's third marriage to Bushra Maneka. Sharing pictures of the 65-year-old politician with his veiled wife and several others, including PTI leaders Awn Chaudhry and Zulfi Bukhari, the party tweeted: "Congratulation to Chairman @ImranKhanPTI on his marriage, we wish a happy and prosperous life ahead to Imran Khan and his wife." Mexican military helicopter crash kills 13 on ground

Mexico, Feb 18 (ANI): At least 13 people died and 15 were injured after a Mexican military helicopter crashed in n a small town in the southern state of Oaxaca. The helicopter carrying top officials was surveying damage from an earthquake. The chopper was carrying Mexico's interior minister and the state governor who were assessing the damage. It landed on top of two vans in an open field. Though the senior officials survived but the crash left the town of Jamiltepec in a state of dismay and grief. Nearly a million homes and businesses were left without power in Mexico City and the south after the powerful earthquake while 50 homes were damaged in Oaxaca.

Kathmandu (Nepal), Feb 16(ANI): India's Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri called on the newly-elected Prime Minister Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli at his official Baluwatar residence.
