He pledged to tackle endemic corruption after scandal-ridden Jacob Zuma resigned on orders from the ruling African National Congress. Kathmandu (Nepal), Feb 15 (ANI): KP Sharma Oli, chairperson of CPN-UML, has taken oath as the Prime Minister of Nepal, two months after his Left alliance routed the ruling Nepali Congress in the country's historic parliamentary and local polls. Florida (U.S.), Feb 15 (ANI): At least 17 people were killed in Florida school shooting. The attack took place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland around 3pm. Few miscreants opened fire in the school premises shortly before students were to be dismissed for the day. The sound of gunfire ripped through the air evoking panic. The shooting adds to a deadly series of attacks at U.S. schools. At least two students at a Benton, Kentucky, high school were killed by a 15-year-old gunman in January.

Kathmandu (Nepal), Feb 14: Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat meets Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba at his residence on Wednesday. General Rawat was accompanied by Indian Ambassador to Nepal Manjeev Singh Puri. The Indian Army Chief is on a three-day visit to the Himalayan Nation on the invitation of his Nepali counterpart Rajendra Chhetri. On Tuesday, General Rawat witnessed the Nepal Army Day celebration in Tundhikhel of Kathmandu. Nepal and India have the unique tradition of conferring the Head of the Army Staff of both the nation with the honorary title of the Army after another Chief of Army Staff takes over the office. Rawat, who assumed the office last year came to Nepal to receive the title of honor of Nepal Army in the year of 2017. New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): Police investigating Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said there is "sufficient evidence" to indict Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on criminal charges in two corruption cases. The Prime Minister went in front of the cameras Tuesday to respond to the news and said he'll continue to lead Israel. He also added that the police recommendations against him are baseless and "will end with nothing." Netanyahu has been denying wrongdoing but he has been questioned several times since last year. Police can make only a recommendation; the final decision to indict rests with the Attorney General.
New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): The Israeli police on Tuesday recommended that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu be indicted on charges of bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. The police said that there was enough evidence to prosecute the Prime Minister on allegations that he had accepted lavish gifts from wealthy businessmen and also tried to negotiate a corrupt deal with a newspaper publisher, reported The Telegraph. Netanyahu is charged with accepting bribes worth one million shekels. The Prime Minister repeatedly denied any wrongdoing, and in a defiant address on Tuesday night, said that he would not resign over baseless police recommendations.
Islamabad (Pakistan), Feb 13 (ANI): The banned Jamaat-ud-Dawa, an organisation headed by Mumbai-terror mastermind Hafiz Saeed, is using children to promote jihad against India. In a procession organised in Islamabad, JuD leader Sadaqat allowed his minor son to lead with a gun in his hand. The protesters were holding a banner which said that Kashmir is the integral part of Pakistan and support would continue to be extended for the liberation of Kashmir. JuD is a charity wing of the Lashkar-e-Taiba, one of the largest and most Islamic of terrorist militant organisations in South Asia. It encourages children from parts of Pakistan and Kashmir to join the outfit and wage a jihad against India and the United States. Kathmandu (Nepal), Feb 13 (ANI): Indian Army chief General Bipin Rawat arrived in Kathmandu on Monday on a three-day visit to Nepal to attend its Army Day function, which coincides with the 250th anniversary of establishment of the Nepali Army. Nepal will celebrate its Army Day on the day of Shivaratri, the festival that is devoted to Lord Shiva, on Tuesday. General Rawat, who arrived on a three-day visit on the invitation of his Nepali counterpart Rajendra Chhetri, will be amongst the chief guests at the Nepal Army Day parade at Tundikhel playground in central Kathmandu. This year, the Indian Army band will be performing along with their Nepali counterparts. Rohan is the youngest person in the world to swim across the Ocean Seven.
