More humanitarian aid "urgently needed" in Yemen crisis: UNICEF

New Delhi, Nov 27 (ANI): An aircraft carrying 1.9 million doses of vaccines brought a small sigh of relief for those caught up in Yemen's civil war at Sana'a International airport. The vaccines are expected to reach 6,00,000 children with the aim to immunise kids against diseases such as tuberculosis, diphtheria and meningitis. UNICEF informed that more help is yet to reach the children. Tension gripped the area since the Saudi-led coalition intervened in the war between forces loyal to President Abdrabuh Mansour Hadi and the Houthis in 2015. Over 8,000 people have been killed in ground fighting and air strikes. More than 20 million people are in need of urgent humanitarian aid.

Fear deepens on fate of missing Argentine submarine

Argentina, Nov 25 (ANI): Saddened and angered by evidence that the vessel may have exploded, relatives of the crew onboard a missing Argentine submarine are losing hope that their loved ones will be found alive. Hope is fading among relatives of the 44 crew members aboard a missing Argentine submarine. After days of waiting for news at the Mar del Plata naval base, loved ones have gone home. The Navy said a sound "consistent with an explosion" was detected in the South Atlantic Ocean around the same time the vessel sent its last signal on November 15. Many family members are accusing the Navy of sending their loved ones out in vessel, that they say was over 30-years old and was likely not properly maintained. The submarine was en route to Mar del Plata when it reported an electrical malfunction shortly before disappearing last week.
