Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 16 (ANI): First Secretary at Permanent Mission of India to UN Sumit Seth on Saturday commented on Pakistan's statement on Islamic Cooperation. Taking the floor to exercise India's right of reply in response to the statement made by Pakistan on behalf of the Organisation of the Islamic Cooperation, Seth strongly advised the OIC to refrain from making such references in future. He further said that India notes with utmost regret that the OIC in its statement contains factually incorrect and misleading references to the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir, which is an integral and inseparable part of India. "India outrightly rejects all such references," Seth added.

London (U.K.), Sep 16 (ANI): A West London pizzeria owner, Teo Catino, responded to Friday's explosion at Parsons Green underground station by serving up free pizza to emergency services personnel near the scene. Catino handed out pizza to police officers and other responders, thanking them for their hard work. Police surrounded the scene at Parsons Green where an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blasted on a Tube train and injured 22 people. Pictures taken at the scene showed a slightly-charred white bucket with a supermarket freezer bag on the floor of one train carriage.

London, Sep 15 (ANI): A blast on a underground train left some passengers with facial burns at the Parsons Green underground station in west London. The station is closed now and counter-terror and security authorities are monitoring the situation. Officers and ambulance staff on the spot were seen evacuating the passengers. Police said they were aware of reports and would release facts regarding the incident once they could be sure of their accuracy. Transport for London, on Twitter, posted that there was no service between Earls Court and Wimbledon on the District Line which runs through Parsons Green.
Iraq, Sep 15 (ANI): At least 60 people were killed and 100 were injured in three suicide attacks claimed by the ISIS in southern Iraq on Thursday. The wounded people were rushed to the hospital for treatment. The incident took place at a police checkpoint and two restaurants near the city of Nasser-ria, when attackers in security force uniforms and driving stolen army vehicles opened fire and detonated car bombs and suicide vests. The dreadful attacks took place in the mostly Shi'ite south, where the bulk of the country's oil is produced and security forces hold a tighter grip.
New Delhi, Sep 15 (ANI): The United States President Donald Trump on Friday said that the nation has seen bigger storms than hurricane Harvey and Irma, hinting that his stance on climate change has not changed. Trump gave the statement to reporters on Air Force One while returning from Florida after surveying the damage from Hurricane Irma. The President said that "We did have two horrific storms, epic storms, but if you go back into the 30's and 40's and you go back into the teens, you'll see storms that were very similar and even bigger."
New Delhi, Sep 15 (ANI): The United States researchers have identified a genetic difference between dogs and wolves that could explain why dogs are so friendly. Behavioral studies run by animal behaviorist showed that pet domestic dogs are more sociable and less afraid of strangers than wolves, even when those wolves were raised by humans. The researchers say the results of the study could help explain how wild wolves domesticated by prehistoric humans turned into the face-licking, tail-wagging dogs of today.
New Delhi, Sep 15 (ANI): After North Korea's latest missile launch over Japan, the United Nations Security Council will hold an emergency meeting on Friday. The United States and Japan requested the meeting to be a closed-door consultation. North Korea's latest launch comes after the Security Council imposed its stiffest sanctions on North Korea over its ballistic missile and atomic weapons program. Before falling into the Pacific, the Kim Jong Un's missile flew over northern Japan. The launch also came days before world leaders gathered at the United Nations starting Monday, for their annual ministerial meeting.

Paris (France), Sep 14 (ANI): The session of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) meeting in Lima, Peru on Wednesday elected Paris as host city of the games of the XXXIII Olympiad 2024. After the wait of almost 100 years, Paris has clinched the hosting of 2024 Olympics. The last time it hosted the games was in 1924. The French capital beat runner up Los Angeles, who's agreed to host the next games in 2028 instead. Paris promises to deliver on its charm the games will show romantic backdrops of the Eiffel Tower and swimming in the Seine. While celebrating the decision, Paris and Los Angeles both expressed their excitement in bringing home the Olympic Games.
Florida (United States), Sep 14 (ANI): At least five people died at a Florida nursing home after Hurricane Irma knocked out power at the facility. About 100 patients were evacuated from the Hollywood Hills Nursing Home on Wednesday. Officials are working to relocate the patients. The nursing home had been without power for several days. Hurricane Irma flooded cities, leaving almost 6.5 million homes and businesses without power in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Alabama. Hurricane Irma gained strength with a double barrel threat of destructive winds and life-threatening storm surges.

The supporters of labour reform think the reform is imperative in order to stir investment and free up a rigid jobs market. The supporters do not seem to be afraid of the unrest that had 400,000 people on the streets last year. Opponents have planned to gather in thousands to support the strike and demos. However, there are some who oppose the reform including France's second-biggest union and two others. Though six out of ten people are against Macron's labour decrees, a poll revealed many see it as a time to change.
