New Delhi/Vietnam, Sept 07 (ANI): India's remarkable economic growth leads to increasing demand for passenger cars. Orix, the prominent leasing company in Japan, started Self-drive Car Rental business to serve customers. Its business has shown healthy growth. Focusing on the large population of India, Orix has established a line-up of popular cars and luxury models. The number of overseas students studying Japanese has increased more than 30 times in the last 36 years, especially in Asian countries, which have experienced a 20 per cent increase in the numbers of students learning Japanese in 2016. Amidst this language boom of Japanese in ASEAN countries, CASIO is working together with teachers and students of Japanese language departments. The number of Japanese language classes has increased even in elementary schools in Vietnam shows how popular the Japanese language has become. 15 U.S. states sue President Donald Trump over DACA

Washington D.C. (United States), Sep 07 (ANI): As many as 15 U.S. states and the District of Columbia have filed a lawsuit in New York, to block President Donald Trump's plan to end the programme protecting young immigrants from deportation - Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program (DACA). The suit was first announced by Washington state Attorney General Bob Ferguson, who called Trump's act 'a dark time for our country'. The groups laid out five different constitutional arguments against Trump's move, saying it was motivated by discriminatory reasons, that it violated due process by being 'fundamentally unfair,' and that it violated laws that dictate procedures for federal regulations.

Thousands swarm around Pope Francis in Colombia

Colombia, Sep 07 (ANI): Scores of people turned out to greet Pope Francis at the start of his five-day visit to Colombia on Wednesday. Thousands of people lined up on the streets of Bogota to welcome him and with no barricades to hold the crowds back, some were able to get up real close and personal. The Pope brings a message of forgiveness to a deeply divided country. Last year the government signed a peace deal with Marxist rebels to end a 50-year war that killed more than two lakh twenty thousand people. Now many in Colombia accuse the government of going easy on the rebels. As part of the deal, former members of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia - or FARC - were given amnesty, and even some seats in Congress. Pope Francis is expected to urge Colombians to set aside their differences. More than 18,000 enthusiasts file nomination for Nepal's final phase of local polls

Kathmandu (Nepal), Sep 07 (ANI): More than 18000 enthusiasts have filed nomination for their candidacy in the third and final rounds of the local polls in Nepal's province no. 2 of Nepal, according to the country's Election Commission. The Election Commission of Nepal acknowledged applications from 18,200 enthusiastic candidates by 6:30 p.m. local time last evening. The province no. 2, which is the mainland for the Madhesh based parties and the restive district, will go to polls on September 18. Earlier, the government under the leadership of Pushpa Kamal Dahal, broke the election into three phases as the agitating parties threatened to boycott the polls. The agitating parties at that time have demanded for the swift amendment of the constitution to ensure their participation in the election. The final list of eligible candidates will be published by Thursday evening.

Raging Oregon wildfire prompts evacuations

Nepal marks Indra Jatra festival worshipping "Lord of Rain"

Kathmandu (Nepal), September 6 (ANI): Nepal on Tuesday worshipped the Lord of Rain, Indra, with much fervor. The biggest festival in the capital Kathmandu started with the erection of a sacred wooden pole "Lingo" at the premises of Hanumandhoka,Basantapur Durbar Square and with performances. The procession took place in Kathmandu Durbar Square, where the living goddess Kumari was the centre of attraction as it was available for public appearance on this particular day. Otherwise, Lord Kumari doesn't come out from her home. The fourth day of the marathon worshiping festival witnessed singing, mask dancing and rejoicing with other rituals. Dominican Republic prepares for Category 4 storm Hurricane Irma

Florida, Sep 06 (ANI): Florida has started preparing for Hurricane Irma, which has been upgraded to a powerful Category 4 storm. The storm is proceeding towards Caribbean and the southern United States.
