Kathmandu (Nepal), September 5 (ANI): The Nepal Parliament has endorsed an electoral law for upcoming elections to the federal and provincial council, which bars people involved in corruption and criminal offences to stand as candidates. Lawmakers of the ruling Nepali Congress has demanded for flexibility over the provision. However, they allowed the bill to be presented in the Parliament at the last minute. Home Affairs Minister Janardan Sharma, while presenting the bill concerning elections in province and federal councils, briefed the Parliament over questions raised about the provision. The new bill has also fixed the threshold for the parties to win the seat. A candidate, who fights for proportional seat in the House of Representative, should acquire at least three percent of the casted vote to acquire a seat in Provincial Assembly. Rawalakot (POK), Sep 05: Disgruntled final year students of Poonch Medical College in Rawalakot city of Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) held a demonstration against the authorities after their ressult was not declared months after appearing in the exams. The protesting students were brutally beaten up and arrested by the police on the direction of college superintendent and clerk. Even female students were not spared. They were taken into custody at the pretext of false charges.

Lahore (Pakistan), Sep 05 (ANI): Jamaat Ud Dawa (JuD) Chief Abdul Rehman Makki pledged to intensify'jihad against India in the Kashmir Valley'. Makki made these remarks while delivering a speech at the "Shohda-e-Kashmir" conference held at Al-Daawa Model School in Lahore. While addressing a gathering, he said their main purpose is to free Kashmir and remove Indian Army from the region. He added that Pakisatn could not come out with a solution in 70 years but now jihad will bring a solution. Makki added that nobody can stop jihad and they will spread it. New Delhi, Sep 04 (ANI): Los Angeles' largest ever wildfire continues to burn with over a thousand firefighters now battling the blaze. Hundreds of people have been forced out of their homes as the so-called La Tuna fire rages at the northern edge of the city. The firefighters battled through the night as the fire tore through thick brush in the hills around Los Angeles that officials say hasn't burned in decades. So far there have been no casualties.
