Nawaz Sharif hails Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani at UN General Assembly session

New York, Sep 22 (ANI): Raking the Kashmiri protests at the general debate of the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly, Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif hailed Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani, who was killed in an encounter with Indian security forces on July 8. Keeping Kashmir at the central theme on Wednesday night, he added that India has posed unacceptable preconditions to engage in a dialogue and that talks are no favour to Pakistan but of both countries.

'Won't succumb to blackmail, tactics of war machine' Pak: MJ Akbar

New York, Sep 22 (ANI): Minister of State for External Affairs MJ Akbar mocked at Islamabad for wanting dialogue while holding a gun, adding that India will never succumb to their tactics and blackmail. Addressing a press conference moments after Sharif's address at the United Nations General Assembly in New York, Akbar stated that Pakistan seems to be run by a war machine rather than a government. He further said talks and guns don't go together. Reacting to the Pakistan's glorification of slain Hizbul Mujahideen terrorist Burhan Wani in his address, the Union Minister asserted it was shocking that the leader of a nation can glorify a self-declared, self-identified terrorist at such a forum.

New York, Sep 22 (ANI): Overseas friends of BJP, American friends of Balochistan, Sindhi and other groups protested against Pakistan outside the premises of the United Nations Assembly in New York. One of the protestors said they were protesting against the atrocities of Pakistan on the minorities.

Pakistani women protest against atrocities faced by them

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 21 (ANI): Members of the Pakistani Women's Human Rights Organization (PWHRO) on Wednesday staged a protest against the atrocities committed against women in Pakistan. Carrying placards, the protestors raised issues like acid attacks, abuse, freedom of women and honour killing. Earlier, prominent leaders of the Baloch community raised their voices after Prime Minister Modi spoke about the plight of the Baloch residents during his Independence Day speech from the ramparts of the Red Fort.

Pakistan has committed atrocities on Balochistan for years: Khan of Kalat

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 21 (ANI): The Khan of Kalat H.H. Amir Ahmed Suleman Daud has praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's stand on Balochistan and said it is courageous of India to stand with the Baloch. Speaking on the U.S.A's stand regarding Balochistan, Amir Ahmed said that because of its diplomacy it is not able to play such an active role in helping Balochistan. Stating that he is the current King of Kalat, Daud went to add that Kalat in itself meant Balochistan and vice-versa. The Khan of Kalat also said that Pakistan has been raining atrocities on the people of Balochistan for long and therefore he had come forward to finally talk about it so that they can freed of the violence the Baluchi people have been suffering.

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 20 (ANI): Accusing Pakistan of killing minorities, Kashmiri, Sindhi and Baloch activists on Tuesday jointly protested against Pakistan's atrocities in front of the United Nation's office in Geneva. Giving details, an activist said that Pakistan sponsors terrorism and they were the victims, further demanding the country to end their violence. The activist held banners and raised slogans against the Pakistan army and the ruling government.

Decision of staying with Pakistan was a mistake: Brahamdagh Bugti

Geneva, Sep 20 (ANI): Asserting that there is a war-like situation in Balochistan, exiled Baloch leader Brahamdagh Bugti on Tuesday said it was a mistake on part of Balochistan to stay with Pakistan. He added that there is no other alternative now except attainment of independence. The Baloch leader thanked Indian media and Indian Government for bringing the issue to the forefront. Bugti, who was speaking exclusively to ANI, said that the government posts across the Pakistan province are just a show off attempt and there is no opposition there.

Madhesi Gathbandhan Morcha set ablaze copies of Constitution

Birgunj (Nepal), Sep 20 (ANI): The Madhesi Gathbandhan Morcha staged a protest and raised slogans against the Nepal Constitution on the main road near Mahabir Mandir in Birgunj. The protestors, while shouting slogans, also set ablaze copies of the Constitution. Demanding a separate Madhesi state, the agitators raised slogans stating the 1990 Constitution should be reinstated.

Worsening situation in Balochistan needs immediate attention: Abdul Nawaz Bugti

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 20 (ANI): United Nations Human Rights Council Representative of Baloch Republican Party Abdul Nawaz Bugti on Tuesday spoke about the atrocities of Pakistan on the people of Balochistan. He stated that the worsening situation in Balochistan needs immediate attention as women and children were being abducted and murdered. Bugti added that the siege of the Baloch civilians is going on uninterrupted and steps had to be taken at the earliest to restore peace and normalcy in the region.

Economic development cannot be done on disputed territories: Ex-European MP

Geneva (Switzerland), Sep 20 (ANI): Speaking about the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), former member of European Parliament Paulo Casaca said that one cannot think about economic development without thinking about the political ramifications and disputed territories. He also added that Balochistan dispute which lasted until 70 years and all of its issues must be treated with sensitivity. Casaca said that CPEC would have been an opportunity had all the parties involved would have benefitted. Adding on to the atrocities rained by Pakistan on Balochistan and its people, Casaca said that steps must be taken to ensure the safety of the people.

Watch: Nawaz Sharif avoids ANI question on Uri attack

New York, Sep 20 (ANI): Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif refused ANI (Asian News International) questions over the Uri terror attack. Nawaz Sharif, who is currently in New York for a bilateral meeting, was seen walking away, not ready to talk on the issue. Nepal, Sep 18 (ANI): Reiterating Tarai-Madhesh Loktantrik Party's demand of amending the proposed Nepal Constitution, party leader Jitendra Sonal on Sunday said his party has both faith and doubt upon the present government with regard to the same. Nepal to get Patanjali food park

Haridwar, Sep 18 (ANI): Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is on a four-day visit to India, today visited the Patanjali Food Park and Patanjali Yogpeeth in Haridwar. During the visit, Yoga Guru Baba Ramdev announced setting up of a food park, acharyakulam and an ayurvedic college in the neighbouring country. Acharyakulam is a school based on Vedic-cum-modern education. Dahal, also known as 'Prachanda', is on his first foreign trip after assuming the office last month.

Baloch Republican students protest against killings in Dera Bugti

Berlin (Germany), Sep 18 (ANI): Members of Baloch Republican students organization on Sunday staged a protest in Germany's capital city Berlin against the recent mass killing conducted by Pakistan in Balochistan's Dera Bugti district. Asserting that at least 90 people have been killed by the Pakistan in last 10 days in Dera Bugti, an activist appealed to the international community to take authentic action against Pakistan. Thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for voicing the Baloch issue, the activist appealed to the former to represent the matter at the United Nations. Ideology behind state of Pakistan is to promote terrorism: AHRC researcher Baseer Naved

Geneva, Switzerland, Sep 18 (ANI): Launching a scathing attack on Pakistan after 17 Indian soldiers were killed in a terror strike on an Army administered base, researcher with the Asian Human Rights Commission, Hong Kong, Baseer Naved on Sunday said that the ideology behind the state of Pakistan is to promote terrorism. Condemning the Uri terror attack he added that even if Pakistan claims to control terrorism budding on their soil, it will never be able to succeed.
