Vatican City, Sep 04 (ANI): Mother Teresa, who is formally known as Blessed Teresa of Calcutta, M.C, was on Sunday declared a saint by Pope Francis of the Roman Catholic Church in a canonisation ceremony in Vatican City. Followers in large number had gathered to witness the canonisation ceremony and offered prayers as a tribute to Mother Teresa.

The BRICS nations comprise - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Earlier, PM Modi met Chinese President Xi Jinping in his first engagement of the day. The meeting of the BRICS leaders comes ahead of the summit of the five nations that will be held in Goa in October. BRICS comprise five major emerging economies, comprising 43 percent of the world population, having 37 percent of the world GDP and 17 percent share in the world trade.
