Saint Kitts (West Indies), July 14 (ANI): The Indian Cricket team, who are in the Caribbean for the upcoming four-match Test series against West Indies, saw its players engaged in a practice session ahead of their second warm-up match at Saint Kitts on Wednesday. Although the Test matches are not getting underway until July 21, India had already played the first of two warm-up contests in Saint Kitts. Nepal, July 13 (ANI): The Nepali Congress and Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center), after reaching a seven-point understanding between them, along with the support of CPN (United) have jointly registered a no-confidence motion against the UML-led government with a view to form their own government. The hopefuls met General Secretary of the Parliament Secretariat, Mohan Prasad Bhattarai, on Wednesday afternoon and lodged the no-confidence motion against the government at 2.40 p.m. The NC and Maoists claimed that they do not trust the government at a time when the government has been rendered into minority following the withdrawal of the Maoists' support. In total, 253 lawmakers signed the no-confidence motion. The NC and Maoist Center have 289 lawmakers but a number of them were in the districts and couldn't be available at the Parliament building on Wednesday afternoon. Kathmandu, July 13 (ANI): Agitating Federal Alliance's coordinator and the chairman of Federal Socialist Forum Nepal, Upendra Yadav has said his alliance will help the Nepali Congress and Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) to oust the UML's coalition government led by Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli. However, Yadav said his party and other constituents of the alliance will not join the new government. There are about four dozen lawmakers in the Federal Alliance.
Nepal, July 12 (ANI): Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) decided to withdraw its support from the government after its coalition partner CPN-UML (Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist-Leninist)) did not implement the nine-point agreement read between the two parties on May 5. The decision of the Maoist Center, which has 83 lawmakers in the Parliament, to pull out of the coalition has rendered the government into a minority government. The CPN (Maoist Center) organised a press conference at its parliamentary party office in Singha Durbar on Tuesday and announced that the party had pulled out of the coalition government.
