New York, June 05 (ANI): Renowned Indian-American businessman and owner of the Bombay Palace chain of restaurants, Sant Singh Chatwal, and his hotel group on Saturday entered into hotel business in the middle-east. Dream Hotel Group signed an agreement with Qatar-based Al Alfia Holding for development of its flagship 325-room property worth USD 300 million in Doha. Outlining his company's expansion plans, Chatwal said his company will open lifestyle hotels in Nashville, Dallas, Palm Springs, Times Square, Long Island City in the US and in Doha. The six projects, worth a total of 1.5 billion dollars, will be built with independent hotel development partners and are expected to open by 2019.

Kathmandu, June 02 (ANI): Issuing a trip advisory, deputy commissioner at the Indian embassy in Nepal Binaya Kumar said Indian pilgrims should avoid travelling on the Kailash Mansarovar route via Nepal as the current accommodation services are not sufficient enough for more than 150 people. He added that since monsoon is on the brink, travellers might also face issues on the way. Last month, around 500 Indian pilgrims enroute to Kailash Mansarovar were stranded in Nepal's mountainous region of Hilsa and Simikot due to inclement weather, which has also hampered the operation to evacuate them.
Rabat (Morocco), June 02 (ANI): Vice-President Hamid Ansari said the challenge for the modern world is to accept diversity as an existential reality and to configure attitudes and methodologies for dealing with it. Vice President Ansari made the statement while speaking at the Mohammed V University in Morocco on the topic 'Accommodating Diversity in a Globalising World: The Indian Experience'. Addressing the students, he said embracing the traditional concept of tolerance is no longer sufficient and people have to actively accept diversity. He said cultures and customs of India, which has the second largest Muslim population in the world, has been impacted by Muslims who have lived in the country for over a thousand years. Ansari added the framers of the Indian Constitution had the objective of securing civic, political, economic, social and cultural rights as essential ingredients of citizenship with particular emphasis on rights of religious minorities.
