Modi greeted 1.2 million Canadian residents on behalf of 1.2 billion Indians. He said that the Supreme Court of India has defined Hinduism as a way of life, not religion. Modi laid emphasis on yoga saying that after his UN address, June 21 was celebrated as World Yoga Day. He said that the world has acknowledged India's traditional way of keeping healthy. Further, Modi said that people living away from India are much aware about the events happening in the country.

He was welcomed and received by Canadian PM Stephen Harper and other senior officials at the airport. Modi is here in Canada on the last leg of his three nations' tour. Pakistan, April 16 (ANI): Pakistan's Home Minister says investigation will reveal the actual role of the suspected facilitator in murder of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Imran Farooq, they have arrested. The man taken into custody by intelligence and security agencies over the weekend was responsible for arranging visas, tickets and stay in Britain of two suspected killers of Farooq. The suspect Moazzam Ali was produced in an anti-terrorism court (ATC) in Karachi. The suspect was subsequently placed under preventive detention for three months. He said the journalists would be updated as further progress made in the investigation. In 2010, Imran Farooq, a founding member of MQM who was on the run from Pakistani police accused of involvement in murder and other serious crimes, was stabbed to death in London.
Pakistan, April 16 (ANI): Pakistan has successfully conducted a training launch of Ghauri Missile system, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the military said. Ghauri Ballistic Missile can carry both conventional and nuclear warheads up to a distance of 1,300 kilometres, a statement from ISPR said. According to the statement, "the launch was conducted by a strategic missile group of the Army Strategic Forces Command that was aimed at testing the operational and technical readiness of the command." Pakistan became a declared nuclear power in 1998, when it conducted underground nuclear tests in response to those carried out by India. The two countries have fought three wars since gaining independence from Britain in 1947. In January this year, India successfully carried out the maiden canister-based trial of its most potent missile Agni-V, which has a strike range of over 5000km and can carry a nuclear warhead of over one ton.
