FY06 net up 238% at Rs 20.59 crore
 
Ansal Housing & Construction Ltd has registered a 238 per cent increase in net profit at Rs 20.59 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006.
 
Last year, the net profit was Rs 6.09 crore. The turnover has increased by 51 per cent from Rs 86.25 crore to Rs 130.45 crore.
 
Asahi Glass Q4 net profit up 218%
 
The country's largest glass manufacturer, today reported a 218 per cent surge in net profit for the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2006 at Rs 66.95 crore. Net profit for the comparable period of last financial year was Rs 21.04 crore.
 
The increase in net profit was mainly owing to a change in the depreciation charging policy of the company in its profit and loss account. With the change in the policy the charge on account of depreciation amounting to Rs 40.08 crore has been written back.
 
PATat Rs 0.21 crore
 
Dabur Pharma has posted a profit after tax of Rs 0.21 crore for the quarter ended March 31,2006. The company also posted 8.7 per cent increase in turnover from Rs 48.3 crore to Rs 52.53 crore.
 
For the year ended March 31,2006, it has recorded a growth of 14.5 per cent in sales from Rs 234.8 crore last year to Rs 268.9 crore.
 
The board has also approved raising up to $25 million through equity shares or partly/fully convertible debentures to an qualified institutional buyer.
 
The board has also recommended a 20 per cent dividend for its shareholders, leading to a total outgo of Rs 3.12 crore.
