India today strongly condemned the car bomb attack in Istanbul killing 11 people and said the "dastardly act" once again underlined the need for united global action to combat terrorism.
"India strongly condemns the terror attack that occurred in Istanbul...We offer condolences to the bereaved families and wish speedy recovery to the injured," the External Affairs Ministry said in a statement
The bomb had ripped through a police bus in Central Istanbul yesterday, killing seven officers and four civilians. It was the fourth major attack in Turkey's largest city this year.
"This dastardly act once again underlines the need for concerted action by the global community against terrorism in all its forms and manifestations," the Ministry said.
