The situation in violence-hit Moava village in Nagaland's Chumoukedima district was under control on Saturday, with no flare-up reported amid tight security arrangements, police said.
At least 26 people were injured in a clash triggered by a protracted land dispute in the village under the Medziphema sub-division on Friday.
The clash broke out between villagers and members of the Chakhroma Youth Organisation (CYO).
Moava Village Council chairman Sutminlal Vaiphei, addressing the media on Saturday, said efforts are underway to resolve the issue through dialogue.
He clarified that the violence stemmed from a dispute over a specific plot of land, and there was no attempt to obstruct developmental activities.
The police appealed to the public to maintain peace, refrain from spreading rumours, and cooperate with authorities to ensure harmony and prevent recurrence of such an incident.

The return flight to Bhopal of an IndiGo ATR aircraft was cancelled after it failed to land in the first attempt and safely landed in the second attempt at the Swami Vivekananda Airport at Raipur on Saturday afternoon, officials said.
The aircraft arriving from Bhopal approached the runway at 2.50 pm but could not complete the landing due to unspecified reasons. The pilot executed a go-around, remained airborne for several minutes, and then carried out a safe landing, said a senior police official.
Airport officials confirmed that the scheduled return service to Bhopal was cancelled following the incident without providing more details.
A passenger on board said the aircraft briefly touched down before lifting off again, prompting momentary concern among passengers.

Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan said the border dispute with China followed India's recognition of Tibet as part of the that country in 1954 with the signing of Panchsheel Agreement.
The chief of defence staff (CDS) was delivering a lecture on 'Frontiers, Borders and LAC: The Middle Sector' under the India Himalayan International Strategic Forum think tank at Lok Bhavan here on Friday.
Chauhan said, "In 1954, India officially recognised Tibet as part of China, the two countries signed the Panchsheel Agreement."
Following the agreement, "India considered itself to have settled its northern border. This was the only area that we believed had not been settled through a formal treaty," he said.
The CDS said that the legitimacy of this border for India was based on the Panchsheel Agreement, which it believed demarcated by identifying six passes -- Shipki La, Mana, Niti, Kungri Bingri, Darma and Lipulekh -- through which trade and pilgrimage would take place.

Hours after a Shillong-bound IndiGo flight was grounded at the city airport following a bomb threat that later turned out to be a hoax, a fresh security scare was reported on a Dibrugarh-Kolkata flight on Saturday evening after a suspicious message was found inside the aircraft toilet, officials said.
The IndiGo flight 6E 6894 landed safely at 7.37 pm at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport and was immediately taken to the isolation bay as per security protocol. All passengers were safely deboarded, the statement said.
The message, reportedly written with lipstick, was found inside the aircraft toilet, "indicating a bomb threat," it added.
Earlier in the day, a Shillong-bound aircraft was stranded at Kolkata airport for around four hours following a bomb threat.
The IndiGo flight 6E 7304 was moved to the isolation bay after the discovery of a handwritten note claiming that a bomb had been placed on the plane, it said.
