Who is Radhika Merchant?
 
Radhika Merchant is an Indian classical dancer and also a part of the pharmaceutical company Encore Healthcare's board of directors along with her parents and sister. She is the daughter of Viren Merchant, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Encore Healthcare, and Shaila Merchant, the company's director. Viren is also a board member of APL Apollo Tubes, a steel manufacturing company. 

She is married to Anant Ambani, the younger son of businessman Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani, and sibling of Akash Ambani and Isha Ambani Piramal.

Life, education and career

Radhika Merchant was born on December 18, 1994, in Mumbai and belongs to Kutch in Gujurat. She went to The Cathedral and John Connon School in Mumbai, École Mondiale World School and did an International Baccalaureate diploma from BD Somani International School.
Radhika graduated in political science from New York University in 2017 and after completing her education, she came back to India and began working as an intern with consultant firms like India First Organization and Desai & Diwanji.
 
Later, she joined the Mumbai-based real estate company Isprava as a junior sales manager, prior to taking part in the family business.
 
She also works for the welfare of animals and likes to trek, swim and read as well.
 
Radhika, who performed at an Arangetram ceremony in May 2022, practised Indian classical dancing and trained in Bharatanatyam for eight years under the guidance of Guru Bhavana Thakar from Mumbai-based dance academy Shree Nibha Arts.

Radhika and Anant got engaged in December 2022 and their engagement ceremony took place in Shrinathji Temple in Rajasthan. They tied the knot on July 12, 2024.
