With the days shorter and a distinct fragrance in the air, New Delhi is all set to welcome winter. Complementing the winter sun is a plethora of food festivals that seem to be increasingly taking the gourmet route. Fine-dine restaurants will share the stage with street-food vendors and home bakers to give Delhi an experience of all things food. Manavi Kapur lists a few upcoming festivals
Grub Fest 2.0
With over 100,000 visitors last year, the Grub Fest is back with a "bigger, better" edition this year. Head over to Gurgaon straight after Dussehra festivities to sample food from some of Delhi's best restaurants - Punjab Grill, SodaBottleOpenerWala, Social and Indigo. The Leela is also hosting a "luxury zone" for a fine-dine experience. There will also be a farmer's market, mixology sessions and food tastings.

Ten Heads Festival
Right next door to the Grub Fest and happening around the same time, this festival is actually 10 mini-ones rolled into one and will bring fashion, music, entertainment and food under one roof. The food will be curated under the Foodistan Festival by chef Sabyasachi Gorai. Besides Delhi and Gurgaon favourites Cafe Delhi Heights, Mahabelly and Katputli, this will feature Bar Barlovento from Ibiza and London's Mavericks Pizzeria.

Palate Festival
"Palate introduced Delhi to the concept of a gourmet food festival," says Anjali Batra, co-founder of Food Talk India, one of India's leading digital food influencers. After it surprising success last year, this year's line-up has over 58 restaurants with seating and 35 food stalls. There's also the possibility that Jamie Oliver's restaurant will feature in this edition.

Delhi Live
Batra and her business partner, Shuchir Suri, will collaborate with TeamWork Arts and host artistes, retail companies, and designers to bring forward an "alternative side" of the city. "The idea is to celebrate the good side of Delhi," says Batra. Food Talk India will curate Food Gully that will feature gourmet restaurants, home bakers and the iconic street food of Delhi. The festival will also feature leading musicians such as Kutle Khan and offer adventure activities, bringing
the good old days of carnivals back in vogue.
