5 MCL open cast mines may get ISO

Five open cast projects (mines) operated by the Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL) is likely to get the coveted ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

A four member team of Certification of International (U.K) has recommended for grant of this certification.

The team led by R.Sinharoy comprising of S.Chakraborty, M.C.Singhal and D.Chandrasekhar conducted the ISO 9001 & ISO 14001 final certification audit of Ananta OCP and Balaram OCP of Talcher Coalfields and Samaleswari OCP, Lakhanpur OCP and Belpahar OCP in Ib Coalfields with associated departments of MCL.
