ACK Media to launch a magazine on Suppandi

ACK Media, the leading entertainment and education company for children, will launch a new magazine based on its most popular character, Suppandi, called Suppandi 48 .

Savita Pai, vice president (product management), ACK Media said: “Seeing Suppandi’s popularity and on many of his fans’ requests, we decided to launch Suppandi 48. We did a test launch in July 2010, the response of which was stupendous. Thus, we decided to publish the magazine as a quarterly.” The second issue will be available at bookstores and newsstands by October 30.

The stories in Suppandi 48 will concentrate on different aspects of the character's life – ‘What does Suppandi do during after hours?’ ‘Who are his family and friends?’ ‘What are his hobbies and interests?’ The unknown life of Suppandi – that’s what Suppandi 48  aims to reveal to its readers.

 

Suppandi 48 will also has several other sections like insane brain teasers, wacky puzzles to stimulate your creative side and senseless facts to make you wonder.

Suppandi is one of the very first characters to have appeared in Tinkle, which sells around 2.5 million copies per year (India’s number 1 english magazine for children) and has been a popular figure among children and adults alike, for almost three decades.
