B2C India would have a total of 20 supermarkets, 104 neighbourhood stores and 20 warehouse clubs by 2004-05.
This ambitious plan envisaging a total investment of Rs 180 crore by March 2004, is expected to jack up B2C India's turnover to Rs 900 crore by the year ending March 31, 2005.
According to Adani, this chain of new stores all over would facilitate achieving the ultimate goal of his company to debut into e-retailing and servicing orders placed over the telephone.
Emphasising that B2C India does not want to imitate any international retailing chain, Adani said that his company has evolved its own success formula based on its knowledge of Indian consumers and their expectations.
"Additionally, we also promise them a good ambience, friendly-service, racks full with stock and smiling staff," he added.
