AIPL Ambuja to pump Rs 2k crore in Punjab

In order to cash in on the growing demand of residential and commercial properties in Punjab, AIPL Ambuja Housing and Urban Infrastructure Limited intends to pump in Rs 2,000 crore in Punjab. The company has developed a mall and an integrated township in Amritsar. Besides, it has plans to set up a residential township in Gobindgarh-Khanna and Mohali and a mall in Jalandhar.

Speaking to media, AIPL Director Harinder Singh said, “The company is setting new benchmarks in smaller towns and is expecting a good response. We have set new trends and created benchmarks in the commercial segment in Delhi and NCR. Our joint venture partners, Ambuja Realty have very strong development capabilities thereby earning a solid reputation in the housing segment in eastern India. This has brought them several accolades from various segments of the society.”

The company has ambitious plans to establish a self-sufficient township in Gobindgarh-Khanna and Mohali after success of its high-end project Dreamcity in Amritsar. Dream City is an integrated township spread over an area of almost 148 acres including 22 acres of commercial area. While Gobindgarh-Khanna would be spread over 88 acres and Mohali Township over 32 acres.

The township in Khanna would be ready by the next 15 months and the company has applied for necessary clearances to the state government for approval for the Mohali township. The Gobindgarh-Khanna, a 88-acres of self-sufficient township would be a modern suburbia containing everything from luxury villas, independent floors, bazaar and a luxury club giving it the differentiated edge that makes for the best world-class integrated living.
