Global retail giant Amazon today expanded its products offerings in India with opening up of four new product categories on its website.
New sections includes toys and games, baby products, personal care appliances and health care devices on its website Amazon.In.
The company, going forward, will launch home & kitchen and other products in the coming weeks, it said in a statement.
Commenting on the launch, Amazon India Vice President and Country Manager Amit Agarwal said: "We are excited to launch four new stores today and expand selection on Amazon.In in time for the festive season. We look forward to delighting customers with broad selection, low prices, great convenience, and reliably delivery."
Amazon made a foray into the Indian e-commerce space with its online marketplace in June this year. The company began operations with just two product categories -- books and movies -- and later started adding more selections such as computer accessories.
