Ashok Leyland's new ED product development division

A Ramasubramaniam has been appointed as executive director of Ashok Leyland's product development division. The product development division works on design and validation of vehicles made by the company ( commercial vehicles and buses).

A press release issued by Ashok Leyland said that Ramasubramaniam was till recently CEO of Eicher Tractors. He has over three decades of experience in automotive design, engineering and operations.

As head of product development at Eicher for a decade, he was responsible for the development of models from light commercial vehicles to medium duty vehicles.

Ramasubramaniam has taken over from M Natraj, who will be in charge of Ashok Leyland's Advanced Engineering group and the newly formed Design and Engineering Services group.
