AskMe invests $20 mn in MebelKart

AskMe, a consumer internet platfrom, has invested $20 million in MebelKart, an online furniture and home decor platform.

AskMe aims to make significant strides into the rapidly-growing online furniture and designer furniture marketplace in addition to acquiring a significant market share in online furniture category.

MebelKart, has tie-ups with over 1,000 sellers across India and abroad. It is led by Rahul Agarwal, who is an IIT graduate and also one of the founder members and the chief executive.

MebelKart was started in December 2012 by Rahul Agrawal (IIT Kanpur), Ranjeet Kumar Vimal (IIT Bombay) and Nikhil Saraf (BITS Pilani).

It currently has about 100,000+ products pertaining to categories like home furniture, beanbags, chairs and recliners, baby and kids, bed and bath, decor and sports furniture.
