Bengaluru-based public sector Defence Company Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) today announced 9% increase in net profit at Rs 723 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2015 compared to Rs 663 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 2,831 crore as against Rs 3,056 crore in the year ago quarter, showing a decline of 7.4%.
The operating profit for the fourth quarter grew marginally by 3% to Rs 750 crore as compared to Rs 728 crore, a year ago.
The Board of Directors has announced a final dividend of Rs 23.20 per share for 2014-15.
