BHEL gets Rs 132 crore from NTPC for solar power plants

Order for commissioning two grid interactive solar power plants of 10 MW each at Unchahar in UP, Talcher in Orissa

The electronics division of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has bagged order from National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) for commissioning two grid interactive solar power plants of 10 MW each, at Unchahar in Uttar Pradesh and Talcher in Orissa. The orders is valued at Rs 132 crore. 
 
BHEL will execute the projects including concept to commissioning and will operate and maintain the projects for one year. BHEL has already commenced supplies to both the solar power projects. The first lot of consignments, comprising of solar photovoltaic modules, was flagged off at BHEL (electronics division) in Bangalore today.
